ok since i got the atari5200 to work on my burnt emulator cd(thanks to reaper) i will start to test to see what games work. heres my first list.

the #9 on the numberpad pauses and starts sometimes. for those who dont know, the atari5200 has 2 fire buttons, only one was used most of the time. some games require a second button, i couldnt get anything to work. if you can get any of these to run that i said wouldnt please post which ones they are so the list can be updated. after choosing a rom it will ask you what cartridge this is what you choose to get it to work. first, this is how to get them to work

you also need the 5200 bios. they are easy to find, just do a seach. i put a text message in the roms folder, read it. then use dir2boot
heres how to use dir2boot

start dir2boot
browse to the folder where you unzipped the atari files to.
create a disk juggler or nero image
this image should now be in the dir2boot folder
burn it. thats it. read below on how to run it and what games work. i did not try my files i uploaded for people to download so as soon as somebody tries it post it here. i have 2 cd's left and dont want to waste them.

1. once its in the main menu (it says self test) i hit the l trigger
2. then i go to cartridge management and hit a (on the controller, not the kb)
3. then a on insert cartridge
4. i choose a game and hit a
5. then pick standard32 or whatever i have written below and hit a
6. then go down to reset (warm start) and hit a or hit the r trigger2 times and it will start. it should be loading now.

just one of the many code fixes you see wish i could get my hands on dreamsnes source code and turn off the bloody frame skip arrrrrrrr

hope this made some one happy i said in email i did not do much to it

clean it up but it made no diffrents

Firtst of all my big apologies goes to Reaper who I wrongfully doubted for changing the emulator. To set this right, he is the guy who modified Christian Groessler port to be working with Atari 5200 roms (it did not with original release) and get the sound working for the Atari 5200 part. Many thanks for it and again sorry for doubting you.

I learned A LOT about why things do and don't work. Reaper also changed the .cfg file wich comes with emu. Because of this you can play games by choosing "insert cardrigde".

So in other words the download Pavelbure has put up is a fully working Atari 5200 emulator! Many thanks to out nr. 1 Atari 5200 fan, Pavelbure, to put up a list with wich settings will work to run the game. Comes in real handy.

I try to get all this information up in an seperate site, where can get a nice overview of it all.

I think once all games are tested we figured the Atari 5200 part out and can go on to the Atari 800 part, where much things can be discovered, i'll keep you informed.
