Is there any way to make the DC BBA work with ALL games?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Is there any way to make the DC BBA work with ALL games?

Y'ello.

I'm wondering if you would *somehow* be able to get the Dreamcast Broadband Adapter to work *online* with *all* games. This would be the answer to my many hours of internet searching, as:

- I have a broadband connection
- I do NOT have a modem in my computer
- I have a broadband adapter
- I CANNOT dial-up with my Dreamcast
- I'm suffering from non-online playingness

The only games I've ever played with my DC online are PSO and Outtrigger. And I have AFO and NFL2K1 Which I would LOVE- Keyword: Love- To play online....

I don't have a grasping concept of modifications to the Dreamcast or altering Gaming Code, but I know some of you do...

Can you help me?

And, to get your programming ideas going...

***10 Dollars american goes to whoever discovers this! Yay! ***

If you discover this, I'll pay ya over Paypal. :D

I don't think that'll ever happen. Theres no way to insert the necessary code to use the BBA into games.

However, why not use a DC-PPP server. Buy a cheap modem for your computer and attach it to your dreamcasts modem. You can use this to connect to the broadband connection from your dreamcast, throught your computer. It might not be as fast as broadband, but its fast enough. And it will work for any game (I think). Check out details at http://www.consolevision.com/mterlouw
