'Shocktroj.zip' is the Japanese Shock Troopers ROM set, but you need the other ROM 'shocktro.zip' or else the Prefetch won't apply
Check for an older MAME ROM set of 'mslugx.zip' - mine runs perfectly probably since I don't have the latest ROM sets.
Rangrisser: Concerning Ganryu - it is not emulated in Neo4All/AES as of yet.
AES.MOD is the music file for the emulator MENU, burning without AES.MOD won't affect compatibilty at all. Bang Bead I haven't tested. My ROM set isn't supported by the MVS - AES converter

I've got everything working but noticed something that may hang people up. Most of the time in a NeoGeo BIOS package if "ng-lo.rom" is present it will be the 128KByte version. However if it isn't present a 64KByte file called "000-lo.lo" usually is. "000-lo.lo" is the 64KByte version of "ng-lo.rom" - simply rename it to "ng-lo.rom" and you've got what you need.

hmm i tried SVC Chaos now, it works but again its unplayable.
its loading all the time, when i start a battle the games slows down at every new attack cause its not allready loaded. Is this normal, i thought for things like this the prefetch infos are there.. hmm perhaps someone can helpf me, the same is in shocktroopers.

I haven't started testing games yet but I went through the list of games and worked out the MAME file ID for each. There are some gaps since some of the games were not dumped when the MAME full filesets I have were released (v0.76 and v0.77). Additionally I have included a few alternate versions in the list, they may not be supported so it's always best to try Set 1 when there are multiple listings of games. I did this to avoid confusion concerning the filename for alternate sets, ie downloading and trying to run a Set 2 when Set 1 is the only file supported and not understanding why it won't work. The list is here -
http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/mamelist01.html
I had to format it like that to keep fixed width text in line, I suppose it could be integrated into other formats, tutorials, etc. - whatever. Hopefully the list will make finding the games easier, it did for me going through my romsets. Download it, use it, improve it.

no problem.. ok then i have everything right.
EDIT:
so after burning the CD its still the same
everygame bigger than 16 MB (with prefetch info) is not playable.
i removed the aes.mod (the backgroundmusic) games are still loading everytime ingame so its makes it unplayable..
what do i do wrong, i have a normal pal dreamcast and every other homebrew works right for me...
my bios files look like this:
sfix.sfx (128KB)
ng-lo.rom (128KB)
ng-sfix.rom (128KB)
aes-bios.bin (uni bios 1.2, 128KB)
but i dont think its the bios.
its seems for me as if the prefetch infos wont work... but why?

You need the 64KByte version of ng-lo.rom, not the 128KByte version - this is pointed out in the tutorial. Additionally if you are having trouble finding the file, refer to an earlier post I made here...Sonic-NKT wrote:so after burning the CD its still the same

The tutorial that Christuserloeser wrote here...rangrisser wrote:I was using 128kb ng-lo.rom.
So Insanedavid, 64kb ng-lo.rom is more game support??
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.ph ... eo4All-AES
...says - "Pay attention to the ROM size! There are TWO DIFFERENT versions of "NG-LO.ROM", one is 128KByte in size, the other 64KByte. The 64KByte version is needed here."

As for my testing I couldn't get the following games converted under ncGUI-
Art of Fighting / Ryuuko no Ken
Blue's Journey / Raguy
Breakers Revenge
Baseball Stars Professional
Fatal Fury Special / Garou Densetsu Special (Set 1)
I'm guessing that the MVS roms I have for those games are versions that cannot be injected with the AES BIOS and converted.
Additionally the ncGUI program, when catching one of these unconvertible ROMs, would stop working but no error screen would come up. However I would hear my default windows "error" sound. I would have to Crtl+Alt+Del to close ncGUI and would be left with it's two temporary text files chucked out of resident memory. Both text files would have null values (0 bytes) however since they were created but never given any data, Windows would not allow their deletion until I rebooted. This junk data caused Windows to assume there were bad disc clusters upon the next bootup (because they were null values again) and I got to spend hours waiting for the disk damage scan to complete. (it was 3 o'clock in the morning when it started )
I need to search back through the forum at DCEmuUK to see who wrote the convertor program (not the GUI FE but the base program unless the FE is in fact a totally new program) to see if there is a way to prevent this. I'm VERY appriciative at how fast the tools and information concerning Neo4All/AES have fallen into place given how young the emulator is but it's an annoying error. The only way I can see getting around this would be to have ncGUI check the MVS ROMs to see if they are correct BEFORE attempting to convert them to AES ROMs - kind of like the "audit" feature in MAME that checks all available games against the current registered compatible file set. I'd do it myself but I'm a terrible programmer.
