NeoDCv2 - Valentine's Day Release
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone
First of all, I had planned this for the past week, i didnt know that neo4all v2 was supposed to come out tonight. and here's the rest:
This release has quite a few things improved from the last version (v1).
Fixed in v2:
Now sfx are working (were added before neo4all, i promise! =P)
Fixed a few possible graphics problems (based on gneogeo)
Now all CDDA should work.
Now uses CZ80 (double thanks to Stef D.)
Re-wrote the controller code to KOS native controls
Re-written CDDA code to KOS (thanks to GPF)
Began updating sound code to the newest mame specifications for the chips
Began improving memory handling to try to fix different problems with the emulator (hoping to get
it better than PC version =P)
Left Trigger now disables sound (at times it takes a bit to re-start)
Made various small changes to the sourcecode including many things to reduce total size (now under
800kb =) )
Special thanks go to GPF(Troy Davis) who helped me a lot while developing this version.

I played all the games that are marked as tested on the game and with the exception of Samurai Spirits RPG (which is slow because it uses hacks to run), all of them are near fullspeed. If you turn off sound, it bumps it up the bit needed.
Don't you go giving everyone the impression that its not playable, with sfx the games play slightly slower than the last version.

no I am greatful for the release but I notice games are not that playable, I am not giving impressions at all, I am glad CDDA and all works fantastic, but I played a round of KOF 96 and notice how slow it was, i just couldn't play it, top notch release none of the less. I may try more games later on, since i got to go to bed for work. sorry if I said anything wrong. I played League bowling,KOF 96 and Art of fighting 2 and they seem slow, are they on the list of the slow games, I wonder how viewpoint runs.

Noisy sound bug is in the PC version.sakuragi wrote:i tried two games : windjammers and samurai shodown 4
i have no sfx with windjammers, the menu have the same bugs as before
Samurai Shodown 4 have full sfx but sometimes there is a noisy sound bug
And it s very slower than before without sound
When you turn off sound (left trigger) its as fast/faster than previous versions.

I tried Metal Slug on it (the only game I own) and there is sound - but it seems to lag the action, and the action is slow - am I doing something wrong? using a wrong bios image perhaps?
Anyway - I'm sure it's me! - keep up the great work.

Sorry to everyone who burned it, I just found that I had an error in my frame limiter code that was forcing it to go at 80% speed instead of 100.
I have an exam in a few though, but I'll release a new fixed version as soon as i get back.(2 hours) Again, I'm extremely sorry to all of those who wasted CDs.

Does the region selector save your choice? Or do you always have to press the start button and select the japan country (uncensored). I have a PAL DC and the default region is always set to USA I thought that it automatically set to the region of your DC in my case should be europe.
Yes I also noticed that this release played too slow specially Metal Slug 2 glad you already figured it out quzar
