DCaSTaway -The First AtariST emu for Dreamcast

Tonight my good friend Ron of MadriDC & Chui (great GP32/Dreamcast Coder) have gave me the news of the first alpha release of the first AtariST emulator for the Dreamcast, heres whats in this first release:

This 1st_read this scrambleado, therefore if somebody is wanted it to put in a CD, this is what necesitais to do:

To put in the raiz (root) of the CD the COUGH. That is the Bios or ROM of ATARI ST, we recommended that like very high useis the 1,04 to you and if version UK is better.

At the same time an image of diskette with software or game that quereis to emulate

Therefore this quedaria asi, in the raiz directory of the CD you are going to find, 1st_read.bin (scrambled) the file ROM and the file diska.

If you are going to use software type DCHacker or Demo Menu you remember that podies to desescramblear 1st_read. Also with utopia it is possible to do it. If not you montais you yourself the CD autoboot.

AtariST is an atari computer.

Does the emulator run fullspeed?

So you dump everythign into the root. Is the TOS called TOS.BIN or Just TOS? As I cant get it to work.

Unless he's changed something (which, if I read stuff right he hasn't) then it's simply called 'ROM'. The disk image, I believe, should be called 'DISKA'.

I've never owned one, but i heard many game tunes on internet radio.

i want to know this too, is fast ? what about sound, i tink thai i will burn a cd soon

Unless that was a typo, and it was supposed to be DISKS. I'm not quite sure about that.

Some of the keyboard buttons have been mapped to the controller, but really yeah your not going to get much use out of it without.

Sadly no, depends on the program though, but theres no way of speeding it up right now (frameskiping etc)

name your tos.img, rom no extension
name your disk image diska so if its pp01.st name it diska again no extension

not in the current version, however they aiming to have sound in the next one.

what if you put 2 or more games on the cd. you name one DISKA and the other.....???
