maybe what is missing now is some sort of better Z80 core wich run the sound codes faster. i wonder what would be a Z80 core with the touchs Stef.D gave to c68K. it would be like a dream for many projects.
but i think now Ian is relaxing a bit from neocd, with whispered secrets and the wonders his wife is making in it . what is a good thing, because after a little rest, the emu will certainly be perfect with sfx, i hope.
btw, i would love a build of the actual version with frame limiters, only the usual 100% speed. would be cool.
then i sit down and wait

Ill talk to him about it. Early on (v5) I created a frame limiter that worked outside of the sound chip (that is usually how speed is throttled). It also worked as part of the frame skipper. Ill talk to him next chance i get about putting that back into the program and making an official version 9 release. Ive already cleaned up a few things including a vmu display that i had put in a long time ago for the region selector but hadnt been working.

It's close to the right speed. DMA is off it's 5% slower it was %120 speed last time it's pretty much normal in 9.2. Quiet a few changes in the rendering texture size changing in loading cdroms. Cpu core changes all timer bugs are fixes etc.
pretty much perfect but for known features not included and known bugs. Some more games do work with CDDA.
Have not updated the list last week i suffers a mild hart attack fingers turned blue and i thought i was a gonner.
Having lots of tests New diet no salt no taste that kinda of thing and i have to have more rest and less stress.

Dude! Scott said something was up but I didn't think it was that bad!!! Oh man, keep away from the computer and get plenty of rest as well as exercise. If you are reading this now then stop! Your health is much more important than any of this dev stuff.Ian Micheal wrote:It's close to the right speed. DMA is off it's 5% slower it was %120 speed last time it's pretty much normal in 9.2.
