im just gonna quote, i burned it and it works fine with my movie ( which worked with dcdivx beta 4 )
i cant really tell a difference yet except that it doesnt take as long to load the movie and there is no choppiness at the beginning which i have in beta 4
I have started doing things on DCdivx at the end of 2002
now it is ready for a first public look/release!
Ppl uDCdivx is ready so lets use it
Changes:
- More stability
- Better CD-swap suport than the original
(now it will read that CDs that BETA 4 doesn't read)
- a bit more of speed (it was optimazed)
- PAL (only)

btw, slightly OT, but has there been any talk of xvid support in the DC community?

DCDivX does support XviD, and the results are quite decent. It can't handle bitrates as high as it can with DivX, but I've had some decent looking vids at 320x240 700kbps with 32kbps Stereo 22kHz audio.
I only hope that this is more like Beta 3 than Beta 4 was...
EDIT: None of the OS9XGP_DC links work, which is a shame

It is certainly good to see it being worked on though.
If you have twenty monkeys,
banging randomly on typewriters,
they will in twenty minutes produce the complete source code to World of Warcraft.

Just rename mekdcdivx.shx to 1st_read.bin and it'll work as a standalone selfbootable CD, put it in a sub directory or name it mekdcdivx.bin (or whatever .bin) for DCHakker. You'll need to unscramble 1st_read.bin to use it with Dream Inducer though.

Hi
My first post here
Take a look at my webpage those who wanted the NTSC version of uDCdivx.
http://mekanaizer.planetaclix.pt/index.html
Iam happy to see people using it.
I want to make uDCdivx better then DCdivx but step by step.
can you people report me stuff about it?
- like compare uDCdivx to DCdivx_b4.

Does it currently have the same resolution limitation as DCDivx? 496x496 is stupid, because then you can't even run 512x384 even though the number of pixels on the screen is less.

Hi
A new release will be out soon Beta, thought
But i need you people!!!
Because i will have (have now) two diferente builds. One with the name -Version- the other with the name -Beta-.
The -Beta- will be the public release. And with it i want to get the very best of -Beta- and add it to -Version-.
When -Version- will be released (in a near Future that will depende on you people) it will be out of beta stage.
More feedback will be good, because -Beta- will be out in a week or two.
(i hope you understand my poor english)
Thanks
-Mekanaizer-
