Problems with Genesis Plus...

Ok so it really isn't a problem with it, but anyways. On ZacMc's tutorial it says to "Put the 1st_read.bin, ip.bin....." well my plain files for Gen Plus that I downloaded do not have the 1st_read.bin or the ip.bin files. Can I use the ones that I have with NesterDC or DreamSnes? This is probably a really really stupid question but I have searched the forums for the answer and found nothing. Help!!!!

You can use the ip.bin from NesterDC, but not DreamSNES. As for the 1st_read.bin, that is the program, so if you downloaded plain files then 1st_read.bin is most likely just named something else. It probably needs to be scrambled, also.

Ok I found the .bin file. It was in the emus file. Now, do I leave it where it is, or do I put it somewhere else, or does it even matter?

The original release had a 1ST_READ.BIN and an IP.BIN included.

This isn't the original release? I don't have the other readme.txt file. Also the games folder is called Genesis. I have a Emu folder that has the GenPlus.bin and Genplus.dxl files in it. I just downloaded it again and got the same results.

You are downloading the sbi file. You should be downloading the plain files. You can get the plain files from one of these links..

The link that BlackAura put on here worked for me. However what doesn't make sense is that curt_grymala downloaded for your tutorial from the same page and he got the right files, but I got the sbi files.
