EGM ARTICLE IS IN JAN!

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

It's great to see some of the DC homebrew stuff in EGM, but there should have been more.

Not only should they have mentioned the emus(NesterDC,SMSplus, etc).
They should have mentioned the ported brews(nxDoom,QuakeDC,etc)
and apps(GypPlay,DCdivx,etc).

Yeah The stuff we all use a lot should of been in there but of course that might of been to much and shown the dreamcast to be better then the public thinks. Im not talking about the converted. Lot of people dont even know what a dreamcast is.

It is true, Warmtoe did tripple the use of the DC for us gun nuts between Bloop, and his Nester add on. I always wanted to make a Gun based RPG. your outcome for random battles would based on how well you shot, and the harder enemies would hide better, and shoot sharper, and be quicker. But alas this is horibly off topic.

There was a more impressive article in gamesTM a few months back - it was mainly focused on Cryptic Allusion, though.

In the letters section there's a letter called Emu Attack (p22) and it has a small tidbit about dcemu also.

It's about time the site gets some honorable mention. Nice job for everyone mentioned. :)

Hurray! They mentioned Cool Herders. I still love that game...to say nothing of the fact I still get bored and hum (or sing) the tune during my classes.

There's also a little piece about the Dreamcast scene in the newest German games (tm) #2 issue.

That's funny because I always call the game Feets of Fury, too. I like the sound of it.

Anyway, about people syaing more things like Eemus or ports should have been mentioned, I'm surprised the Dreamcast got as much coverage as it did, considering things like Songbird's Atari games or the Vectrex homebrew community weren't mentioned at all. It's too bad dRxLax couldn't have got a mention, but this Dudlak guy probably never played it multiplayer so couldn't have really known how cool it is.
