Ngenesis, why?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

There's really no point in showing it at all. I dont even think you can get the ngine devolopement kit anymore anyways. I dont think it was nearly complete enough to be fully functional ethier. It was a quite promising tool untill the author just gave up on it and didnt give a real good bye or any tpye of notice.

Hmmm but don't you have last weeks release cless ... i mean you do have a halo 3 beta ... 0.o .
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

It was coded for the Dreamcast using freeware tools.
There is your point.
About 3/4 of the stuff at these sites aren't really worth the effort to host by your standards. Most of it is unfinished and buggy as all hell.
But regardless of the quality, we are amazed that it is even done. Every release is something worth praising. For once, we have a totally legal and easy way to program for an actual games console (and a rather powerful one at that)
Any schmoe with a CD burner, a Dreamcast, and a little know-how can make a clonetris.

We celebrate those who try, because they try.

Your right it wasnt even released or anything about it so I agree with there being no point to show it.
