For real this time?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Man, I was hoping that something like this(a "flame war") would happen... In good news, I finally updated to KOS 1.1.8. B.T.W. CTR0, that was my fault for for Clessolus[whatever his/her name was] about the dynamic recompilation. In a very old post, I thought that it was doing the dyna. rec. was being done in assembly, but it wasn't/isn't. I was confused at the time, looking at some statements where it said something like:
#ifdef _Win32
. //Bunch of assembly written code here
.
. Upto here.
#ifdef UnderLinux//(or something like that)
.
. //some more written assembly code
.
.
#else
.
.//some C code here, which I used for the Dreamcast port
.
But it wasn't the dynamic recompiler. SO I may have been the cause of confusion.... Sorry if I was to everyone.

He deserved to be flamed for continously talking straight out of his ass and pretending to be an expert coder with lots of experience in that area.

Wow you are all acting like children just chill out and be happy that a PSX emulator is actually making its way to Dreamcast... seriously I never post over here in this forum because some of you guys take some things to much and too far. Just calm down and chill out- all of this stuff is for fun and should not really be taken in such a passionate manner.

Now I can expect to be flamed... :roll:

For once could we stay on topic and not turn every single thread into a discussion about flaming mixed with actual flaming.

I'm happy about a PSX emulator on Dreamcast. I already have a Playstation but if the graphics can be improved then that would be great, if loading times were improved that would also be great and not having to switch between two consoles will be marvellous!
This isn't a request list by the way, I'm just saying what I think.

Good skill (not luck) to everyone trying to develop emulators for the Dreamcast, I wish you all well.

LA!

This is good news! The PCSX port I mean, not the flame war :D

It will be interesting to see how it develops.

I don't care if the resolution is 352X240 or 320X240 , as long as it runs , something like 20fps

The psx could only run 30 fps, I believe, so If we get that, the dc sk3n3 will almost be complete.

Well, I liked reading the flame war :)

Yeah, it was all a matter of how fast your code could push stuff around on screen. There was some space shooter game that was nifty, locked at around 50fps.

Arguing intelligently is a lot more constructive than flaming someone, that's my message I'm trying to get across.

Some of you need to remember that newbies are as gifted as others, while those that are gifted need to remember that you lose all respect by flaming people and acting very immature in the process.

A word to all

Carry on with the flaming etc etc and you will be banned.

Being that this post doesn't exactly have a great title and its mainly filled with flames, any chance a mod can lock it and just start a new one?
