RPG Maker 2000

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

RPG Maker 2000

Post by FFgamer »

I remember a while back, someone at a RPG Maker 2000 forum had figured out a way to play the games on Dreamcast. I never tried it, because I didnt have a DC at the time. Anyone know how to do it?

It was fake, extremely fake.

RPG Maker 2000 games are for a Windows PC. You can't just change a few things and get them to run on a Dreamcast.
It's thinking...

Dang.

Would have been nice to be able to play all those RM2K games on DC.

the right words for you guys is for somebody to make a interpreter for the RPG maker files. The exe files are always the same, of course it would take time though to do such a thing.
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

reaper you are right about xbox by the way, however hopefully someday once I know more about programming I'll hurry on through with an app that is like rpg maker 2000 for dreamcast.
