Most Awaited Homebrew Game

Post by Wasgo » Fri Jun 21, 2002 5:30 pm

With all the potentially great games on the DC horizon, from the newly announced RPG, to Adventures of Explosion Dude: The Rescue of Bomberbroad, what homebrew games are you most looking forward to?

Personally I'm still hoping to see that in-development game Ganksoft talked about months ago, and Feets of Fury. But at this point, I love each and every new release. Anyone else?

I know of 2 spacific RPG projects in the works...
The 'scene' RPG by Siggler, Trilinear, Nyar, etc... Written from scratch for PC and DC...
And
Tyne and FrikaC's RPG being written to run on the QuakeDC engine (and PCquake of course). I'm going to do my best into talking them into making it a TRUE Total Converstion that requires NO Id software owned game materials (models, sounds, etc) so that an image can be made for distribution. :)

Im looking forward to the two RPG's too.

I can see quake rpg being the first one out, but the proper homebrew one being the better release...but I know very little of whats planned for the quake on so I might be wrong.

The RPGs will be excellent, of course.
Feet of Fury should be great, and from the screens I have seen already, looks very developed and professional. I'll probably try getting myself a dancemat for use with that.

Well... The Quake RPG is going to be fully 3D and is being setup to be Diablo style in its control. Been trying to talk my way into being an official alpha/beta tester... but they have stood their ground and have told me to wait for the offical 'Demo' release. So I dont know too much more then that.

From what I have been told the Demo release will pretty much be the first section of the full Quest... and will be little more than a teaser of things to come. Just showing how good/bad (matter of taste) the gameplay is and how the mechanics of the game works. The full quest will probibly not be released for well over a month afterward. I'm told (like most good mods) maps are going to cause the biggest holdup.

That RPG that is being on by Mr. Siggler and company looks very interesting.
But I am looking more forward to Mr. Siggler finishing Mega Man Oddesy.

Just a question with the "scene" RPG...
Does this mean projects such as that quiz game, dc kart, megaman, the new version of smash dc and all trilinear's games are all on hold ?!?
If so, that sucks :(
