Did we lose Dreamcast-Scene?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

The website is still online.
Expiry date doesn't seem to have been moved to next year.
If the host and registration are not on autorenew, it could delist any day.

Given our conversation is taking place on an open public platform, you have to be on the ball. Someone else could just sweep in and hold the domain for ransom. Please be vigilant watch the website everyday until it is renewed. I wouldn't want to lose DCS like DCHistory or DCGallery. I think everyone has moved past Dreamcast and the domain isn't valuable anymore, so we are safe to take over.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but I'd like access to the YouTube channel once you take ownership. I would like to do videos. It's been on my to do list for over a decade.

@Darc, if you still read this thread maybe move it to staff?

Grabbing the domain won't give us access to any DCS YouTube channel, as they are tied to specific e-mail addresses rather than domains.

If you get the domain, you can create a new email.
Make it "catch all".

Then reset password on Twitter and YouTube.

Boom.
Game, set and match.

Now if DCS YouTube is tied to Max's person Google account, then yeah we don't get anything.

Doing a whois on the domain, I believe it was updated on 2020-10-10, so it looks like it is a no-go.

If I'm wrong again, let me know, of course. But this time it looks like the autopay did go through.

So basically in the end Max's site, is his site, till he formally wants to pass the baton.

The only person who I think would be able to contact him would be the Graff brothers from Duranik.
Without making contact with the creator of DCS.
We can do nothing.
