HOW TO MAKE BASIC FIGHTING & MORE IN DREAMSTUD!O

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

HOW TO MAKE BASIC FIGHTING & MORE IN DREAMSTUD!O

Post by antonio6 »

On the first video im showing how to make basic fighting on Dreamstud!o for Dreamcast it's a Japanese 3d Construction game maker it's like a basic version of unity 3d and is very similar to Rpg Maker ... they are both the same company "Kuusou Kagaku" ..... they did Rpg maker 1 and 2 on the PlayStation consoles but i always liked this better since it is way more easier. NexTech now known as Nex Entertainment also made "Dreamstud!o" ,well anyways enjoy all these videos i am also doing a whole game translation to English it is almost done but i haven't been working on it that much since i do have another thing im working on now but don't worry this will be released in English soon!

Interesting topic, although I'd like to request one thing... Please don't post links to download pirated games. It is illegal to distribute such things without permission and against the rules of this forum.

Also, you might consider using the upload feature on this forum to host any files you need (like say the VMU saves), rather than linking to external sites for those, especially if they're relatively small. That way, you make sure to keep everything all together in case any of those external sites were to go down or remove the files, as has happened many times in the past.

No problems at all. Hopefully someone finds all this useful.

Seems like it might be fun to play around with, if only I had the free time to do so.

Very nice! I imported this game years ago and spent countless hours messing around with it. There were a lot of Japanese games hosted that you could download to your VMU. I remember playing one that was attempting to recreate Resident Evil. I noticed very quickly that a major flaw of the system was that VMUs were nowhere big enough in size the handle an actual game. So basically everything I downloaded was just like a little minigame RPG. The software is quite powerful for a console RPG maker, and I remember reading that someone tried to translate it but gave up. Fun little tool though. You seem to be making some cool stuff! Would love to see some more tutorials!
