gamecube controller repair

my gamecube controllers analog stick has recientley stopped responting when i turn it left. i have had it open and had a quick look. checked it by shirting the pot's and still diden't go left but worked for every other direction.
it is definatly the controller as i checked it with my wheel , and it worked ok.
does anyone know how to fix this ?

never mind, fixed it now. one of the pots on the analog stick was out of alignment. popped it out , re centred it and it works better than when i first got it now(secondhand). funny that , i thought gamecube controllers autocalibrated.
anyway , back to sonic heroes
