DC controller (pin assignment)

Post by Freeze »

Hey guys,

can someone of you provide me with the pin assignment of the Dreamcast and maybe GameCube controller? Are there any protocols of commandos which are sent to the micro processor of the gamepads, if there are even some mirco processors in it (like in the latest PC gamepads).

Thanks a lot in advance!

The dreamcast gamepad protocol (maple bus) is rather complicated, there are chips in dreamcast peripherals, for the pinouts search the web for marcus's dreamcast site.
