Quick Question: DC Freezes and Sometimes Restarts

I bought a used Dreamcast a year ago (hey, it's Christmas already), and it's been working fine until recently (two weeks or so).

It's beginning to freeze frequently, only rarely ever restarting (maybe one out of 25 freezes). It's frozen up in a lot of CDRs I've burned (Selfboot Inducer CDs, almost packed to the brim, Quake (Full), etc.), and froze on my copy of Vigilante 8: Second Offence.

I'm wondering whether or not the 'resetting fix' will help in this case, or if there are any other suggestions, and perhaps any links that can assist me. I can't be long without my DC, it's been the most sensible purchase in a long long time.
