Hopefully, the installer I've been working on on-and-off for about three months, assuming I ever finish it, should be able to take care of any issues that the DreamSnes installer might have, and it'll work as a native Win32 app too. And, hopefully, as a native Unix (Linux, BSD, whatever) app. I just need a decent scripting language that works well, is lightweight, has a very small code size, is extensible, and will work natively on all target systems. That's proving to be the tricky part. That, and coming up with a decent data format for the thing, which will allow me to keep compatability with Selfboot Inducer, and extend it with my own extra stuff.

Compatability, Sound, Speed. In that order, since I know that doing it the other way around will cause huge problems, and end up making far more work, slowing down development, and making it an overall worse emulator.

just a few things missing for me:
adjustable frameskip
adjustable sample rate

A mode that will dinamically adjust frameskip to music speed. I mean that music always stays perfect and the emu skips more or less frames accordingly to the mess on the screen.

Thanx for the attention

To be honest with you none of us here (aside some beta testers and lucky informants) can answer that question seeing how the dreamsnes team doesn't post here on a daily basis but rather semi-quarterly.

These threads have been started off and on for a while as a sort of mix between brainstorming sessions, and just outright begging. Some good ideas have come out of them.

Since the DreamSnes Team read this topic, maybe they could give us some hints on what have been done since the last version 0.98

I linked to it in a recent thread as a reference to things already suggested.
