What do YOU want to see in the next version of DreamSNES?

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

I'd like to see the project go open source if the next version doesnt have the sound core updated and wrote in ASM.

Heh, I thought that there was going to be a release on may 1st. I don't know what put that idea into my head, but someone said that there's going to be a release soon and I'm hoping that it's on mothers day or may long weekend. I don't care either way, as long as the project's not dropped.

What I'd like to see is a proper full screen. On my TV stuff gets cut out, and even on my 'best' tv I can barely see the speedometre. That would be awesome! If you've played games like sd3 then you know how annoying it can be.
Speed would also be another great factor, but that's not too original is it? I think that I'd like to see some more goodies! The speedometre and stuff are really cool, but if they could hide some more things in there and maybe have keyboard support then it would make my day. :)

Whatever happens, I wish the team well.

the full screen looks fine to me, anyways, even without sound theres too much frameskipping going on.

100% isnt really 100% with 4 framskip.

it needs 100% speed (NO FRAMESKIP) 100% sound.

THis may sound like a stupid question but why is it hard to emulate a 4mhz console on a 200mhz console? the dreamcast is 50x faster then snes yet snes games look worse on dreamcast, makes no sense.

And why is psx emulation on dreamcast faster then Snes emulation? and that goes same with genesis (I DIDNT SAY WHAT THEY ARE CUZ ITS AGAINST THE RULES)

Bleem was coded in asm (I think a fair portion of dreamsnes is in asm, or they're rewriting parts in it). Also, Bleem was coded with multiple people working on it full time, and is only fully conpatiable with a few games. I guess it may not take TOO much work to make a single game DreamSnes of super mario allstars that works perfect, but I don't really know.

id like super mario rpg to work : )
aside from that, i think its fine, so maybe a few games run slow, all donkey kongs and marios are spot on, and maximum carnage and separation anxiety (spiderman\venom games, highly reccomended) run close to full speed, the speedometre says roughly 80% but it feels fast enough

2Xsai or eagle engine would only speed down things a lot. :? The DC can do an hardware interpolation which is quite nice without slowing down the emulator.
A themable menu would be nice though.

An open source would speed things up quite a bit with releases and all. Not to mention with an open source we could be seeing people doing single releases... Its mothers day today mind you and no release as of yet. I wonder why no one has bothered to port over zsnes considering thats the fastest pc emu in existance...

anything would be nice, but it could use some improvement speedwise and I would love to be able to play Yoshi's Island, I'd also like to be able to actually have it show all of my roms (actually, I think I know what I did wrong when making my roms disk)

I'd like to see the inclusion of talking monkeys and a hip-hop granny. Also, they should include an Oreo cookie with every download.

A bit more speed would be nice too :)

Right, lets all play SNES games with 48kHZ interpolated sound... I bet it'll be screaming fast then.

In terms of features I think DSNES is pretty much complete. I don't think there's much left to add to DSNES apart from the obvious speed/sound upgrades, and I'm not expecting those any time soon :/

They couldn't provideu orer cookies. They'd open themselves to the possibility of being sued for providing he public with too much trans fat :P
