This is the game I made in my head when I was 7 or 8 years old. Really good fun. I'm just dissapointed about how many objects have the same poor physics. Too many things do the same thing in the same way.

So... Are all you guys playing pirate copies, or did people break the street date?

I'm quite interested in this game, myself. Probably going to buy it, as the concept is great. Stylus-only control is lame though.

It's been ages since I felt this excited about a game. The thread title speaks nothing but truth.

It's nice just sitting there and pondering your options.

Been playing it for a number of days now. It's pretty fun. I do spend a good deal of time thinking on stuff, but a lot of the time I end up doing the same things I've done on almost every puzzle. Ya know, ropes, flight, a couple of guns... That sort of stuff.

It also must be said this game has the worst camera I've ever seen in a side scroller. Point in fact, it's the ONLY side scroller I can think of with a bad camera. STOP ****ING AUTOCENTERING ON MAXWELL, I'M TRYING TO POSITION THINGS. Jesus christ. And the controls are awful for Maxwell.

I think it is a testament to the game's goodness that it overcomes these two huge problems as well as it does.

To add to that, the game would be about 100 times better if you could just move Maxwell with the D-pad. I've played the game a bit, and it's enjoyable at first, but I almost feel like there's a certain point where the game becomes unplayable due to needing precise item placement and character movement. I couldn't count the number of times Maxwell just took off running because the game didn't register a click on an item. Your clicking has to be dead-on, otherwise Maxwell just runs straight into danger.

Still, you can't help but to smile when you can create solutions like putting a bear on a unicycle and having him chase after a cat that triggers dynamite to create an explosion underground in order to clear your path so you can use a helibackpack to fly to the bottom and collect a star.

The d-pad control would have been excellent. I have no idea why something so obvious wasn't implemented.

They could have easily utilized the shoulder buttons to toggle the D-Pad between character movement and camera movement. Still a great game though.

I do find myself doing the same things over and over though.

Try repeating stages on advanced mode. You have to beat it 3 times and can't use the same things more than once.

I have the exact same complaints (I usually do with Yahtzee). But, I still like it. Funny how that works.

I agree with all of Yahtzee's reviews of games I've played, but I do love pretty much all the games he completely trashes anyway

The physics just ruined it for me in the end. A summoned bridge should be resizable, a motorbike should handle like a motorbike should, 4 lengths of rope should tie together very easily...I could go on. It was great for a while, but 99% of my greatest ideas didn't work the way I wanted them to, and the simple ideas are satisfying to find but seem to sell the concept short a bit.

My first 5 minutes playing this game I was amazed.
After playing it for about 2 hours I'm completely annoyed.

Two simple things could have made this game so much better. Like said, the DPad. Also it annoys the hell out of me when I try to pick something small up and something larger gets picked up instead. Especially when I'm standing on that large thing which is floating on water, with a pit beneath, and sharks.

I'll probably go back to good ole fashioned $3 sudoku book for my portable means of gaming.
