scored a wii, need reqs

Post by Zealous zerotype »

I bought a wii from a friend lastnight for 15bucks that can not read disc and no sensor bar/controller, but it does work. So, I'm going to exploit it and all that jazz, but I wanted some game recomendations and don't just blindy list titles atleast list the genre or give a little description. PLEASE AND THANKYOU.

Don't really know what kind of games you like, but...

Title: Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Genre: 2D beatemup-RPG-platform-sceneryporn (cf. Princess Crown or Odin Sphere; same company)
Description: Flip out and kill people by skillfully mashing the buttons, gaining experience, and cooking and eating foodstuffs (GC pad recommended).

Title: Punch-Out!!
Genre: Punch-Out!! (yeah)
Description: Flip out and punch people by skillfully mashing the buttons or making crazy punching motions. ALSO FEATURING DOC LOUIS'S CHOCOLATE "JOKES".

Title: Super Mario Galaxy
Genre: 3D platformer
Description: Flip out and be Mario by skillfully embodying exaggerated Italian stereotypes, jumping on Goombas, and pointing at little star bits with your Wiimote cursor.

Thanks and yeah good point guess I should specify
Well, it really isn't nessicarly the genre I am open to ideas (I have been pretty out of gaming for a long time), but story is a good gripping point for me. I'd also prefer a game that did not require the wiimote. If I'm going to get seriously involved in a game it isn't going to be with a wiimote.

In that case I guess I should specify that while Punch-Out!! does require the Wiimote, there's an option to use it on its side like an NES pad. Not much story to speak of though; the game is basically a parade of ridiculous characters, just like its predecessors.

Why dont you just buy a new wii, then put the bust wii into the box and return it.

Jesus. And people here said I was messed up for wanting to send my own scratched discs back to Gamefly.

Besides, I can't think of a store that would let you return it and get cash back, most places only let you exchange it for another one. Unless game consoles are different than actual games.

And if you're having to use the disc drive on the Wii for anything, you're using it wrong. USB Loader is the ONLY way to go. You don't even have to use Twilight Princess to mod it anymore, all you need is an SD card.

The Wal-Mart return center is surprisingly stupid. If you have a receipt from them and have the item boxed, they really don't give a shit..

Of course, the last time I tried this was at least five years ago. They may have become more militant (and it could also vary depending on the store).

AFAIK Walmart has really cracked down lately, tried to return a camera I won at work about 2 years ago and they looked at me like I was stupid. Plus don't video game consoles get their console serial scanned at the time of transaction?

This is true. When I worked in a mod shop when the PS2 and xbox were huge, if a mod got screwed or a version 5 laser died etc they would buy a new PS2, and swap the guts so the dead shit would be in the case with the new serial, if it wasnt in the correct case with the correct serial, the stores wouldnt return it. It was a tedious process. They kept an iron with a steam button so they could steam the sticker that would "VOID" if peeled off.

Point it, the serial on the case has to match the serial on the receipt, or the computer records from the store you bought it. Otherwise, you cannot return it.
Shut that cunts mouth before I come over there and fuck start her head
