Bionic Commando for 20$ Gamestop
The game has hit rock bottom and that just makes it very affordable, so is it worth buying or not.
I am going to get it most likely.

Sucks. I paid 60 for it. Great game though.

For $20, it's probably worth the buy. I've not bothered with it, but reviews are decent. Not great, but sounds to be worth about $20.

I played the multiplayer demo. I wasn't too impressed. Felt like I was playing some sort of spiderman game. But I generally dont like 3rd person shooters. IMO the GBC version of the game was the best one. I played that into the ground.

It's more than worth the buy at 20. I paid 60 and was thoroughly excited to love a platformer for the first time in ages. It does get repetitive towards the end though. But the boss fights are fucking amazing.

I just found out the game isn't even made directly by Capcom it is made by the company that made the shitty Terminator Salvation game, I am considering returning my sealed copy.

So a game you wanted for $20, just because it's made by some other company than you originally thought, you won't even try it out?

Welcome to the world of Bilal. When the rest of us are concerned, the quality of a game is determined by how good it actually is. With Bilal, it is all about the company. A shit game by Capcom is still better than a great game by an unknown startup, because you're supporting the legacy of a historical developer by enjoying it. That's why Sega are still doing no wrong - they are SEGA - that's the same name they used 2 decades ago! The only exception to this rule is when a legendary developer from one of the legendary companies sets up his own studio.Skynet wrote:So a game you wanted for $20, just because it's made by some other company than you originally thought, you won't even try it out?

Dude, it's a good game and it was $20. Play it. The developer shouldn't mean that much to you.BILAL_XIA wrote:I just found out the game isn't even made directly by Capcom it is made by the company that made the shitty Terminator Salvation game, I am considering returning my sealed copy.
You enjoyed Headhunter: Redemption, didn't you?

Close, but not quite I do not like it when someone else designs their game.BoneyCork wrote:Welcome to the world of Bilal. For example Travllers Tales making Sonic, Monkey Ball, Crash games.
We are talking about the developer who brought us Terminator Salvation here!A shit game by Capcom is still better than a great game by an unknown startup,
Sega is all wrong man, none of their developers except Nagoshi develop console games anymore. Instead of Mokato Uchida you have shit people like Secret Level design the resurrection of Golden Axe, that's why the games fail and buying them would just reinforce their decision to dish out internal ip's to external western studios. That's why Sega are still doing no wrong - they are SEGA - that's the same name they used 2 decades ago! The only exception to this rule is when a legendary developer from one of the legendary companies sets up his own studio.
I am thinking right now that the same thing happend to Capcom's Bionic Commando as Sega's Golden Axe, it was given to a bad western studio, the game is crap and I thought this game was made by Jun Takeuchi or Kenji Infuane so it couldn't be all bad but then I found out none of the relevant CAPCOM designers are involved.
Although I am glad that you are pretty close to understanding how I function.

I enjoyed Head Hunter haven't played Redemption yet, I don't have a problem with western developers making new stuff and getting it published by my favourite publishers.Eckostyle wrote:Dude, it's a good game and it was $20. I do have a problem when they develop something that another designer started and then it doesn't even live up to the standard, Bionic Commando is a critical and commercial failure and now that I know that Capcom isn't even involved in the game I don't need to see it for myself I believe the critics.
Nonetheless I am seeing cheaper alternatives on Ebay before I return my copy (I think I can get it shipping for 10$)
