What Would I Like To Change In Resident Evil 4?
The only problem I had with the game was that stuff from previous installments didn't make it through such as the realism (crows didn't leave bullets behind when you killed them?), the blue herbs, Ink Ribbon etc.
To me the game felt more like a sequel to Dino Crisis 2 rather then Resident Evil: Code Veronica as Dino Crisis 2 was the crazy shooter where you got money for killing dinoz and then you would buy ammo from a computer.
Anyway fans of Resident Evil have already stated many facts similar to mine, however I thought of something new today how cool (or gay) would it have been if instead of Krouzer we had a resurrected Steve from RE:CV?

The sheer stupidity of this topic makes me think the Internet is in fact something you just dump something on, and not a series of tubes.

Even though the RE movies are shit, the games could take some inspiration from them and have the female characters flash a boob every now and then.

Except if they are Mila Jovoch's (sp) boobs. They are like flat ziplock bags filled with sludgey oil.BoneyCork wrote:Even though the RE movies are shit, the games could take some inspiration from them and have the female characters flash a boob every now and then.

Well luckily she isn't in the games so we're all OK.Code-Red wrote:Except if they are Mila Jovoch's (sp) boobs. I hated the Ink ribbons. IF I want to save my game I want to save it without worrying about running out of ink. Far as the ammo goes the way this game was set up you really needed more then the previous RE games. I thought this game did have the herbs? Maybe not blue ones but you still mixed them I think?

I didn't see the point in ink ribbons either. Having limited savepoints was enough, limiting their use to how many ink ribbons you managed to find was just ridiculous, especially on a game that lasts so many hours.

Meh, I have had RE1 (remake), RE2, RE3, CV and RE4. I didn't find anything wrong with RE4. Infact due to the lack of ink ribbons and such, I found the game to be better. Also the main character doesn't really matter who it is, whether it be Steve, Leon, some zombie you killed in RE1, it doesn't matter THAT much, they could still pretty much make the exact same game. The back story for the character would be different, but I'm sure pretty much everything else would be the same.
I've yet to play RE4 Wii, but it does look like it would be good to play. Also I'm glad you didn't bring up the fact that the POV was different, because I personally loved the over the shoulder camera angle compared to previous RE games. I can't wait for RE5 really.

I wouldn't have changed much about this game... if anything.

Re: What Would I Like To Change In Resident Evil 4?
I could have done with fewer identical swarms of monks/other similar enemies. IN the last few hours of the game, there were like 20 rooms that were practically the same group of enemies and they were all easy. It got super repetitive.

Re: What Would I Like To Change In Resident Evil 4?
Agreed, just about the best game I've played in years, I can't remember really being irritated by anything- at a stretch the saving>losing>saving>losing ashley got a little tedious. I'm never a fan of games where I have to protect other characters, they always manage to stroll in front of your gun or stand there while an enemy attacks them. The snakes in barrels were irritating too, it just meant you forced yourself to always do one extra slash when opening them. Small details in an otherwise fantastic game.S. I missed the fact that Snakes could no longer poison you.
This installment as great as it is, it it the most unrealistic one (compared to RE games only).

Ink ribbons were always my most hated part of the games.

That, and the controls. That's why the only RE I've beaten (or for that matter, gotten very far in at all) is 4. I've tried all the others...even made a little headway in the original. But between the controls and the incredibly restrictive saving, I always gave up before long.Calavera wrote:Ink ribbons were always my most hated part of the games.
