Little too much immature Sony bashing going on in this forum still.....
I'll pick up a PS3 when they hit the $350ish mark here in Canada.

Re: Fiddler, you're not alone...
I'll get a PS3 like I do with any console I'm interested in (except for the the Wii, which was an impulse buy). I'll wait until some great games are out and there's a solid library, then I'll go to the pawn shop and buy one. I've found that pawn shops have the cheapest prices on videogame hardware you can find anywhere, but you have to make sure it works. Make them hook it up for you on one of their TVs and let you play a game or two. If it doesn't make funny noises or seem to take forever loading, you'll be fine.

Re: Fiddler, you're not alone...
I'm not hating on Sony at all. Tell me what great has Sony shown for the past year for their beloved Ps2 succersor. What great titles have been released this past week, Warhawk and Lair!(and they aren't that much of great titles.) To buy a console just for a few titles, that in the end might not be exclusive pretty much sums up what i'm trying to say. I still have other two Sony based consoles, and a majority of my games are from those two consoles. So in no way am I being a fanboy of any sort at all. I'm just pointing out the obvious and that console might be getting more movie playback than gaming for the next year or more.BoneyCork wrote:The Sony hate on this board is a joke at times. He already owns a 360 and a Wii and bought the PS3 last, and at a good low price. I don't see anything idiotic about it. Or are you saying it's better to deprive yourself of certain games you want just because "SONY SUX!11"? It's like chatting with a bunch of 13-year-olds again.politoe wrote:|darc| wrote:fucking idiot.

I can see your point, but I don't know how I was supposed to get all that from you calling mel a "fucking idiot".politoe wrote:I'm not hating on Sony at all. Re: Fiddler, you're not alone...
What great titles have been released for any console in a given week? That's kind of a ridiculous sample. Also, there's not really a terrible shortage of noteworthy exclusives: Warhawk, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Folklore, and Ratchet & Clank (all 2007) are all published by SCE, so it's unlikely that they're going to other platforms anytime soon. It may not be a deluge of AAA titles, but the idea that PS3's going to be a wasteland until 2009 is a myth. PS3's library has indeed sucked for the first year, but so did 360's during its first year, and there's no shortage of announced exclusives for PS3 in 2008 and beyond. FWIW, here's what I'm particularly looking forward to over the next year or so:politoe wrote:What great titles have been released this past week, Warhawk and Lair!(and they aren't that much of great titles.) - Folklore
- Gradius VI
- Metal Gear Solid 4 (quite possibly not exclusive, but also not announced for anything else)
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Disgaea 3

That pretty much happened to the Dreamcast, yet I don't regret that purchase at all.politoe wrote:To buy a console just for a few titles, that in the end might not be exclusive pretty much sums up what i'm trying to say.
What's worse is this entire thread was really a story about my one year anniversary, yet in two pages nobody has told me happy anniversary yet.DaMadFiddler wrote:In the words of Brock Samson, THIS IS GETTING STUPID!
