Oh yeah, I remember that place. I think that is where I got most of my roms in the beginning. I remember, my friend told me about his cousin playing some of the Final Fantasy games on his computer, but I didn't believe him. I think I read a thread about it on a newsgroup or something, then I searched the net and found that it was actually true. I download some GB emulator to my Dad's Mac (I was equally amazed that they had them for the Mac at all), then moved on to a whole bunch of other emulators.

I was also on a streak of making websites at the time, so I naturally made a rom site, which was constantly being deleted by the free servers I kept using. I kept it up for a while, but I eventually gave up since I couldn't keep the site around more than a couple days at a time on one address.

My First experience with emulation was "Zsnes" I wanted to play mega man 7 so bad and when I loaded her up I was like "OMG" it ran perfect and I sat there and played until my hands cramped on the keyboard. What a fun day that was grabbed every piece of emulation when I realized how great it was.
Have you played dreamcast today?

SNES 95X was my first. I had what was an ancient Mac at the time, but the core was written in PPC assembly back in the day for the Mac version before it was put into C++ for all platforms. That core made it fast as my machine back then couldn't handle much else.

I have to admit to always preferring KGen over Genecyst as I could never get the sound working properly in the latter! KGen was a great emu for slow PCs, Ran fine on my old P133!

I think I had a 166 mhz computer about, and well, I don't know How the hell I came onto it, but I was 8. And I just found out how to download the things and roms and emulators... Then I tried to play mario 64 like a month later or so, and wow.. It took 26 hours on Dial up, and I had to sneek to my parents computer at 1 in the morning to play... Man did that emulation SUCK. That was on there 500 mhz computer.

ZSNES, found out from a friend about old DBZ games. And it went from seaching for rom sites to finally finding about mIRC. Being part of a invite only channel makes it easy to find anything now.
