Just picked up 007 QoS, fun so far! Also last night I got my code from Amazon to download the Original BK for free. The game is fucking beautiful on my HDtv!

Hearing about a new Banjo Kazooie game made me want to buy my 360 in the first place. I was so fucking disappointed once I found out it's actually Lego Banjo Kazooie. Wii is the only system with decent platform/adventure games, it needs to spread the love.

So far it's mostly good. It's like playing a first person Prince of Persia or Tomb Raider. It gives you such a rush to learn the proper path through a level and then tear through it. Which is where one problem comes into play. Until you know that awesome route, you kinda have to fumble around trying to find how to get to where you need. It's still fun, but I have a feeling a second playthrough would be a blast once you know your route. Which is also why I'm glad they threw in a time trial mode. The only other problem is the combat. My god, the combat sucks. It's clumsy trying to punch someone and disarming requires such split-second timing that it's near impossible to disarm later enemies. One of the early combat sections took me over 15 tries to subdue 3 guards without killing them. I finally gave up and just disarmed one and blasted the other two, thus destroying my non-lethal playthrough.

But yeah, the running parts sure are thrilling.

...oh, and the E-surance commercial cutscenes are terrible. I've seen better flash animations than those cutscenes.

So fucking true. but i want to pick up the game anyways. though i find it interesting they are ONLY advertising it for PS3, Sony must have paid a LOT of money for that.

I'm in love with Nuts and Bolts. The vehicle editor is so easy to use and there are so many awesome parts. I haven't really played much of the actual 'game' part yet, but I love solving all the solutions a bit differently with different vehicles.

Bioshock came in the mail through Goozex. I wasn't even expecting it, so now I've got 4 new games that I'll have to find time to play. And that doesn't even include my current playthrough of the Mother 3 translation that was released.

I'm still having a crapload of fun with Nuts and Bolts.

I can totally see how people would get annoyed with the 'missions' and everything to get the jiggies, but I really, really love finding new parts for vehicles and building bigger, better and more specialized things. The really tighter leaderboard integration is AWESOME... for some reason I feel like I have to get under 1k mark on every challenge. Also, I love how the TT Trophys aren't outrageously difficult to get. They seem to be just the amount of difficulty to make me redo the challenge a few times to get it.

The local multiplayer is awesome too... building vehicles to play against a friend is super fun.

Did it get picked up by the magnet by the waterfront? I've read a few topics where thats happened and people were confused about it. Odd that the machine at the top won't spit out a new one, I let a globe fall into the water and was too lazy to retrieve it so I went up to LOGs place on the hill and got a new one. :(

I played the demos for both Nuts and Bolts and Mirror's Edge and both seemed terrible.

N&B was boring, I'm sure the vehicle stuff is technically very clever but if the levels are dull who cares? I was such a big fan of the N64 original, what happened to Rare, srsly.

And a FPS where jumping is a major part of gameplay? autofail.

so far of what i have played of nuts and bolts i am very disapointed. what happened to exploring a world and figuring out puzzles. Not this, "okay go here in this amount of time". One challenge per level is quite dull. I love building vehicles, but it seems rare made a game and tacked banjo characters into it. hopefully it gets a bit better after the first world or i'll be trading this in while i can still get credit.

The Orange Box (360) - $20

Like Bioshock, I already have this for PC. But also like Bioshock, I just can't bring myself to sit in front of the computer and play it. For $20, I couldn't pass it up.

You'd better trade it in then. There are multiple challengers per level, but they are more or less the same. Showdown Town really opens up after a few jiggies, and that turns into a 'platforming' level with puzzles and such. But if you're already disappointed then you might as well trade it in.

Fable 2.
Meh. Solid enough for the most part but didn't hold enough interest to warrant a second playthrough.

Gears 2.
Story mode doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned. It's all about horde.

I don't think he was using $150 Monster cables to hook everything up and buying all his games from Japan, so he was never a true gamer anyway.

Just bought:
Tomb Raider Underworld
Mirror's Edge
Bioshock
All for PS3.
