Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Bought Marble Mania from a gamestop in lancaster, p.a.. I was at a store in my regional maryland, and the guy said that they had a copy, so I made the trip to p.a. It was $20 but I was happy that I got it for that and not the $60 its going for on ebay. I hate that they stick all those damn stickers on the case, though. Very annoying.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Just bought the Prince of Persia expansion. It better be damn good too, as it's sounds like it's going to be about $5 per hour of gameplay.
Anyway, some other stuff I got through Goozex that I forgot to put in here:
DeBlob (Wii)
Resistance (PS3)
Chocobo Dungeon (Wii)
Shaun White Snowboarding (Wii)

Just got my Saturn control pad in the mail today. Works great with Genesis Plus. I only wish you could customize the controls in that emu.

Got a hold of Phantasy Star Portable. This is my first Phantasy Star game and I really like the theming and the idea...but I was hoping it would play out kinda like Final Fantasy XII. Instead it's just like a basic hack n slash game. Plenty of dumb meat to mow down, levelling up every 5 minutes, and not an ounce of strategy or thought needed. Disappointing.

Welcome to PSU. They took all that was great about PSO and dumbed it down completely, and even more so in PSP. Luriden, me and some friends resubscribed to the 360 version a few months ago and just couldn't get back into the game. It is the perfect lazy chat game room game to play on live, but it is about as entertaining as a dynasty warriors game.Got a hold of Phantasy Star Portable. Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
That's how PSO was and I loved it... but then again it was my first "MMORPG" if you want to call it that and I was mesmerized by the idea of grinding with people online (insert sexual pun) and I think what draws me back to the game still is just the nostalgia factor.BoneyCork wrote:Got a hold of Phantasy Star Portable. PSU just lacked the charm that PSO had... I'm not sure what it was. The controls were better, the battle system was better, but the levels were boring and NOT worth grinding in. I was more bored playing through the same 30 missions on PSU than I was playing through the same four stages on PSO back in 2001, and I still play them today.
And you'd think since I enjoyed PSO so much that I would love some of these newer MMORPGs out now, but I haven't been able to get into another MMORPG since then. I've tried just about all of them except for Everquest and FFXI.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
It's gotten quite mixed reviews so far... some say it's an instant classic, some say it's the biggest disappointment of the year. Quite a variation of opinions.Hasney wrote:RE5. It blooooooows
I played the demo and it just seemed like RE4, but less appealing visually. And not scary. At all.
And your partner apparently has the worst AI ever seen in a video game, thus pretty much forcing you to do coop.

All the good reviews seem to rave about the online play. The thing is, I couldn't give a shit about the online play - I want a solid 1-player action experience. From what I've read, it isn't there.

RE5. I'm having fun with it, it fixed the problems I had with RE4.
I still prefer classic RE gameplay though, I'm buying Code: Veronica X this weekend and I have to track down a copy of RE2.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
I gave into peer pressure from a few friends and picked up guitar hero 3 wireless bundle for xbox 360. Luriden suggested I get that one as it has the "best guitar". Not sure if i'll keep guitar hero 3 or not, as the game I want is rock band 2.
All together it cost me about 10 bucks.
35 dollars total - 25 dollar amazon gift cert

Call Of Duty: World At War (Xbox 360) $0.00
My brother made a bet with me tonight. I had a week to beat Dragonforce - Through The Fire And Flames on expert on Guitar Hero 3, if I do I get to keep a game of his. If I don't, he gets to pick a game of mine to keep. I won.

^ Did you have to space them like that? You're taking up precious resolution on my screen.
Then we'll come back here and tell Luriden how much pussy and drugs we get for playing cool games like RB, and not penises and bagged ass hair like GH gets.
Don't listen to him, he's like the Fox News of band games. His propaganda will cloud your vision son, get Rock Band 1/2. Then add me to your list, we'll play.Nico0020 wrote:I gave into peer pressure from a few friends and picked up guitar hero 3 wireless bundle for xbox 360.
