Doesn't this kind of defeat the point of going to the trouble of a hardware collection in the first place? I can sort of see its utility for homebrew, but I'm not aware of any great selection of homebrew Genesis games.

Great idea, but no way I'll ever spend $80 on it. Although running the ROMs on original hardware would be awesome, I've got an Xbox and Wii for all my classic gaming.

I got mine six months ago for 59$ as part of a group buy via assembler. It's the 2.0 version. Prior to this there were a few other choices (for instance tototek's carts), but none as well made, nor any using SD.
