OK, just so i am prepared! (MGS Q)

Post by 404NotFound »

OK, i've read various threads and found out that there are bugs in MGS bleemcast! (OH NO!) Well i just got the GH version of MGS and i am in like the first part of the game (very early on) i did the VR missions (not time attack though) and it's been saving fine... Here goes: Can you please give me a list or workarounds to a list of known bugs?

bugs:
some sounds are...off a bit
sometimes youll get an error message when saving
sometimes vmu formatting just doesnt want to work

workarounds:
get used to the slight sound problems 8^]
if you get an error when saving, just take out your vmu, put back in and try again
same solution for formatting, although if you have the gt2 pak, you can just format it with that first

really none of the bugs are *that* major, i mean there is nothing that renders the game unplayable or anything.... and since youve played the vr training, youve pretty much experienced all the sound glitches all ready (and if you didnt notice, no problem then) and if your not having any save problems (which by the way, if you only save once per play you wont, it only seems to happen on the second save attempt of a gaming session), i wouldnt worry about it either...

The only bugginess I've noticed was that when some text was on the screen(L/R button), it'd be kinda hard to read. Other than that, I've had absolutely NO problems with it. No save errors, no sound funniness, or what not. Any save problems you have are probably from a newer VMU or something. I'm using a Nexus x4 Mem card that I got back in '99.

Here's just a quick Q:
What happens when you get to Psyco Mantis? Can you keep a controller plugged into slot 2 the whole time, and just pick up that one? I just don't want to remove my controller with the VMU in it.

OK sweet... I'm using an Interact 1x mem card. Had them for a loong time and never had any problems with them. I just refuse to use thier 4x or 8x mem cards.

Fixed for you by IUG, fix your profile so that Ubb code will work for you automatically.

Yeah what is the prob? I only have 1 controller (right now) and it would be a prob... i have a keyboard, could i keep the keyboard in slot 1 and just keep the controller in slot 2 for the whole game?

(I'm at manitis now)

[edit] I tried it awhile ago and it works fine. You can just swap out the controllers.
