Title: Law56kers NXdoom Collection
Author: The doom community who created all content. BlackAura who created NXDOOM for the Dreamcast. XDelusion for his contributions to NXDOOM.
Description: This is a collection of best Total Coversions, Megawads, and Various levels for use on NXDOOM for the Sega Dreamcast. I spent the last several weeks, researching and collecting the best quality mods, megawads, levels for Doom 2 and Ultimate Doom. It was a lot of work collecting and testing all of these mods, but the true work went to the people who made them and those who made it possible to play Doom on dreamcast.
The retail wads from Doom 2 "doom2.wad" version 1.9, and Ultimate doom "doomu.wad" are required. Disc 1, only requries doom2.wad. Disc 2, requires doomu.wad and doom2.wad. They are not included so you must acquire them on your own.
DISC 1: Doom Collection Disc 1 requires "doom2.wad" version 1.9 from Doom 2. Please place "doom2.wad" into the doom folder. Use Bootdreams 1.0.6c or an alternative program to burn. Do not add any more files other than "doom2.wad" otherwise the collection will not fit on a standard cdr.
DISC 2: Doom Collection Disc 2 requires doom2.wad" version 1.9 from Doom 2. It also requires "doomu.wad" from Ultimate Doom. Place "doom2.wad" and "doomu.wad" into the doom folder. Use Bootdreams 1.0.6c or an alternative program to burn.
ADDING CUSTOM MUSIC: The default modlist.txt, located in the doom directory contains entrys to play the sountracks from Doom, Doom 2 and the Plutonia and TNT addons.
NXDOOM uses xm files to play music. To add music to a mod you must add a entry to the mod's launch line in the "modlist.txt"
You must add one of the following entry lines to the individual mod you want music in. Place the music entry only before the "-savename" entry.
Works With "doomu.wad" Ultimate Doom Mods
Doom 1 Soundtrack: Add "doom1_xm.wad"
Works with "doom2.wad" Doom 2 Mods
Doom 2 Soundtrack: Add "doom2_xm.wad"
Plutonia Original Music: Add "plut_xm.wad"
TNT original music Add "tnt_xm.wad"
Thanks: I'd like to thank all those who have contributed to the Dreamcast Scene. Please keep the Dreamcast scene alive! Also, a special thanks to all Mid-core gamers. Download Here!

Do you have links for the source files for the Discs? I'm not sure how to download the collections, since I don't see any links regarding them... Also, is the DC controller conpatable with this version of Doom?
There are no links for download yet cause I am still working on the collection. It will be done by the weekend or sooner. The dreamcast controller does work with nxdoom.
Will there be a version in which the controller can be used? Let's be practicle... Not all people have a Keyboard for the Dreamcast, let alone the fact that SEGA doesn't produce them anymore...
Sorry... I've seem to have misread the post... Anyway, I look forward for its release. By the way, will you have instructions on hw to assemble the disc image? I'm no stranger to Bootdreams, but still... I don't want to waste a perfectly good disc on a screw-up...
For disc one you will need to put Doom 2, "doom2.wad" version 1.9 in the doom folder. Then use bootdreams to burn.
For disc 2 you will need to place Doom2, "doom2.wad" version 1.9, and Ultimate "doomu.wad" into the doom folder. Then use bootdreams to burn. Those files aren't provided because they are from the retail version of doom. You'll have to acquire those wad files on your own.
Deus Vult 1&2 are not included in this collection because they don't work with NXDOOM. If you have any other mod suggestions make them. It is most likely I had tested them and they hadn't worked though.
This should be up in the next couple days. I just have to rar it up and have Darc put it up for download. The modlists have been updated to show the included mods for this release.
Post any problems you find with the mods, or mods that fail to load. But realize a few may crash randomly due to incompatibilities with nxdoom, or the fact some mod included were intended for an advance source port of doom.
Also if i made one text mistake in the thousands of modlist entries, that will stop a mod from loading correctly.
Letting a play demo run before you start a game may screw up mods that require level warping.
Remember before you can burn you could always choose to use the 2 alternative modlists.
The modlist.txt is a txt file that tells nxdoom how to load each mod.
One will load the mods without music, and the other will load the mods with the nice looking doom64 graphics patch and random music.
The alternative modlists are included in the Backup Modlists folder in the doom directory. To use one of them overwrite the default modlist.txt in the doom directory with the alternative modlist of your choice.
Disc 1 only requires adding the retail wad "doom2.wad" version 1.9 to the doom folder. DO NOT ADD more contents to the first disc or it will be over the capacity of a standard cdr.
Disc 2 requires you add the retail wads "doom2.wad" version 1.9, and "doomu.wad" to the doom folder.
I've managed to obtain the DOOM2.WAD and add it to the Doom Folder, but I'm having problems with the burning process... I assemble the Discjuggler Image in Bootdreams, but when I burn it within Bootdreams, I get a non-bootable disc. I stick it in the disc drive of my computer to check if the files are still there, but all I get is a music cd with one track on it... No data what-so-ever... I tried this at least 4 times, on multiple computers... Please tell me what I'm doing wrong...
