Thanks sixteen-bit, I read in a page that mouses were not compatible with all versions of Quake, but I can't remember the page, and I suppose they were wrong. I'll run and buy a mouse NOW!!!

Heres the latest work in progress from Bero's site :

ALL: Fix mouse check
Quake II: working save with compression
Quake II: SP MAP test
And a mod called "Retaliatory Strike" looks like it works :)

The Quake 2 bin hasn't been updated yet, but keep and eye out for the new one which is likely to be posted soon with these fix's/additions.

If anyone wanted to compile the source to quake but was unable to because of the missing gl_h file will be pleased to know that Bero has recognised this and has upped the file to the sourceforge page:

http://dcquake.sourceforge.net/gl_h.zip

And the Libgl http://dcquake.sourceforge.net/libgl.zip

I'm glad i had posted asking for it :-) , but I still get errors compiling libgl . Agh :-/ . If anybody can compile the lib, then post a download please.
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

1.- Will PAL mouses work with these Quake ports? (NTSC and PAL mouses aren't equal. PAL mouses doesn't work with NTSC versions of Quake III Arena, and vice versa)
As far as I know, all hardware with the exception of the light guns are equal.
I can use my mouse bought in Europe with any territory game.

it works for DreamPassport 3 (NTSC-J)
it works for Unreal Tournament (NTSC-U)
it works for Quake 3 Arena (PAL-E)
