Re: SDL not linking properly (kos-ports)

Thanks Lawrence! That worked perfectly! I just uninstalled the copy, modified the SDL_config_dreamcast header myself to match your changes, re-installed, and re-built my program - success!

Thanks so much again for being quick! ;-)

Re: SDL not linking properly (kos-ports)

I just deleted the kos-ports and downloaded the github copy again - copy/pasted, ran build-all, same issue. The command git reset HEAD --hard didn't work for some reason so I just did it through Explorer. I did have to install an additional file to libjpeg (jerror) but that's all. I don't think I ha...

[FIXED] SDL not linking properly (kos-ports)

Okay, made this in the other thread but it was probably not an appropriate place. Trying to build my program, it almost goes through the process until I get an issue at the linker phase when it links against my program: /resample.o obj_dc/timidity/tables.o obj_dc/timidity/timidity.o -lm -Wl,--warn-c...

Re: More problems building KOS!

You guys are always so patient and awesome when it comes to KOS! Thanks! Successfully built! Now I'm having a problem with one of the KOS-ports (SDL). When I compile my program, I get this output: /resample.o obj_dc/timidity/tables.o obj_dc/timidity/timidity.o -lm -Wl,--warn-common -lgl -lpng -ljpeg...

More problems building KOS!

Getting KOS to install on a machine, even a clean "proper" install, is always different for me. For some reason, it just either keeps changing or differs wildly depending on what version of GCC I have. I've ripped a lot of my hair out of my head already ;) I have followed Ph3nom's instruct...

Re: DC-Chain errors

So, I chose to move over to my 32-bit XP netbook to build. This time, a bit farther I think: configure: updating cache ./config.cache checking generated-files-in-srcdir... no configure: creating ./config.status config.status: creating Makefile config.status: creating config.h config.status: executin...

DC-Chain errors

Hi all,

Recompiling a new version of KOS since I got another machine. I'm following the instructions here. In dc-chain, after I execute download/unpack and run "make", the compiler snags after awhile:

Any help is appreciated! Using Cygwin on Win10 x64.

Re: Skeletal animation

3DGE supports MD5 models, which is a skeletal format, so they are definitely possible on Dreamcast. Those are also inherently faster formats to render since skeletal models do not have to store vertex frames in the model itself (with MD2/MD3, every frame of animation is the model itself duplicated),...

Re: SLaVE November 14 Trailer

Cool! Pre-ordering contributes slightly to a form of a "budget" for us later on down the road for Hypertension, so we appreciate it.

More details will be revealed in the next few months leading to release. We are working very hard on it.

Re: Isotope SoftWorks VLOG#1

I probably could have done a better job but for my first time it's not bad. Popping dat cherry. Next time I guess I could be a little more coordinated with a script but it'll have to do! =) More stuff is coming soon, our History of Hypertension mini-series is getting off to a great start, and more d...

Dig into the 3dge Source folder and then into the DREAM3DGE folder:

Re: ESTk to be released with Elysian Shadows

I honestly don't know anything about 3DGE, but we are all following Hypertension, and it's obviously extremely impressive and technically capable... I feel as though ESTk and 3DGE are probably filling two different niches rather than being competing technologies. They're designed with different goa...

Re: ESTk to be released with Elysian Shadows

3DGE is very easy to use with a HUGE number of tools, support, and documentation on the engine in general. I also provide 24/7 support (see SLaVE). Various level editors, WAD unpackers - the works. 3DGE was designed with moddability in mind and we also released the first version of the DC version, s...

Re: MGC 2014 Hypertension Reveal

Hey thanks Falco! That really means a lot to us. It's nice to finally engage with other developers. I have to say though, ES absolutely blows a lot of things that I've seen out of the water, you guys have a real gem with that. Your web series is really cool too, that's something I wish I did 6 years...

Re: MGC 2014 Hypertension Reveal

Jason did the best he could considering my flight got delayed then cancelled less than a day before the event, which threw the presentation down the wringer. I was going to get on the stage and talk more about the engine advancements we've made (dynamic lighting, high-res texture support, real 3D mo...
