Prophet, that diagram you posted - how would I go about using that to make a VGA to Component box? Wouldn't I need a chip to do the RGB to YPbPr conversion and also combine the Composite Sync and Y outputs?

Nope, I'm just interested in playing games in 60hz, even if it isn't an option on the disc. I don't use home-brew stuff. I'm going to try bridging R425. If bridging R424 on a PAL Dreamcast gives NTSC video at 50hz, then it seems logical that the box right above that one would control the refresh rat...

I'm not sure what that page is? How would I use that to get my PAL Dreamcast to behave in 60hz?

So the difference of using s-video vs using VGA - component would be about the same difference (quality wise) as s-video and VGA , correct? Component done properly would give you 480p which is a huge leap over S-Video (which in America has 480i maximum). There's better colour resolution as well. As...

DC-X can force 60hz yeah, but it's a pain nonetheless. Ah well, I guess the amount of games that are only in 50hz is small anyway. Looks like I'll end up buying a US replacement motherboard to chip though.

Anyone selling one? :D

You mean converting a VGA signal to Composite? It would look worse than S-Video. In fact, the native Composite output of the DC would probably look the same or better.

I have searched yeah, but no such luck. As you said there's a way to it the other way around, that involves bridging two points together.

I assumed that would mean on a PAL DC, the points would already be bridged, but nope. And apparently, bridging over the points on a PAL one does nothing.

PAL DC - forcing 60hz

I know there was a thread about this, and everyone seemed to think that there's no way whatsoever of getting a PAL DC to behave like an NTSC one (as far as video is concerned). That can't be right. There must be some way of modifying the thing to output 60hz NTSC by default. Has nobody come up with ...

Actually the Xbox 360 doesn't have digital output. It's Analog only over Component. A $10 VGA to Component cable won't work unless your TV specifically accepts RGBHV signals over the Component jacks (highly unlikely). A Key Digital KD-VTCA3 transcoder ($200 or so) is the best option to convert the V...

How much to ship one of these to me in the UK? What'd the total price be?

$72 is the starting bid. There's no way I'd sell that for as little as 40 pounds. It's worth about 300 ($480 or so). The US$ is so weak right now so if you're in the States, buying stuff from UK'rs is gonna hurt your wallet/purse!

Did piracy have anything to do with DC software sales? I heard that they stayed consistent throughout. I don't buy the piracy thing.

Mint, Regionless Silver LE DC for sale

This is mine, and a lack of cash means I have to let it go.

Are there any hardcore collectors on here looking to give it a good home?

Well, once the English menus are finalised someone can provide translations and I can edit 'em. Glad to hear these are going to be used.

We still need icons though...

Nice covers. The Max Payne one doesn't seem to quite "fit" if you get me (it looks a bit tight) but I like them overall. (Like your sig as well, btw, thanks for the heads-up. Just signed the petition)

USA Dreamcast cover template

People who have poked around my site will already have seen this, but here goes anyway. It's my high quality recreation of the Sega of America cover templates (CD size). http://www.lyris-lite.net/files/usa-dc_cover_lyris.zip 2.5mb * PSD format * Doesn't yet have all the icons on the back (but has th...

Thanks a lot Xylene, that's a great scan. The thing is, I've just played Propeller Arena and to say that it doesn't thrill me in the slightest is an understatement. It's not the type of game I can really get into to make a cover of. Hopefully someone else finds that scan useful - sorry if I wasted y...
