Interesting stuff.
I've actually managed to run 220v - 240v devices in America. Without any immediate problems. I have been informed that it would significantly reduce the electronic life when I do that though.

The website is still online. Expiry date doesn't seem to have been moved to next year. If the host and registration are not on autorenew, it could delist any day. Given our conversation is taking place on an open public platform, you have to be on the ball. Someone else could just sweep in and hold ...

Re: Asking for help to save our home
Hey man,
I know the feeling, I am glad you have a wife that believes in you.
I'll contribute what I can when I get paid towards the end of the month.
I'll also share with a few friends. Have faith, don't give up.
Btw, the lady in the middle is your sister who just had surgery?

That's a good perspective, I suppose. He messaged me before he left and kind of like me, he wasn't happy. I think it has been many years and we have attained some level of maturity, maybe reaching out could bring happiness. See, we have a lot of history and we are obviously no longer as free as we w...

Re: Did we lose Dreamcast-Scene?
I do not really check my hotmail to often cause cube_b3 is kinda no longer a thing. But DCS got a major spam attack and I had to delete thousands upon thousands of comment emails. I had to login to DCS and turn the comments off on the particular post the bots were targeting. DCS server doesn't allow...

I like religion... just can't seem to find the time or motivation to prioritise studying.

@Darc: Yup.
@Boney
This is the city, apparently it is almost completely developed. I went there in 2006 and it was empty. It seems to be well populated now.

Career Summary Back when I joined this site the closest thing I had to a profession was journalism. I wrote for the national news paper, while I pursued a degree in psychology. Then somehow I ended up in America, a psychology degree in PK could've been super lucrative, America on the other hand pays...
Re: I'M BACK
lol. I moved out of Pakistan 8 years ago.
I've visited many times and explored investment opportunities, it is truly an untapped gold mine. Terrifically easy to make money but their is a ton of corruption and whatever this apartment ad is. I would stay clear of it.

Re: SHENMUE III CONFIRMED
Well, I'm retired. I just have my Dreamcast, 360 and PS3 hooked up to my CRT. I did have a modern TV but watching YouTUBE was really distracting so I got rid of it. Didn't help as now I YouTUBE on PS3, Downgrading gave me an excuse to reconnect the classics. On point, I never thought their was any n...

Re: SHENMUE III CONFIRMED
@Darc: Why didn't you just go for PS4? Given that this is a console website. I assumed you were a console gamer. I am honestly surprised that so many PC gamers cared for Shenmue given it was never released on PC. Yes the sleeve was really disappointing because they basically just printed the mockup....

I only immigrated in 2012. So i wasn't naturalized unfortunately in 2016. Got my passport a few months after the election. Really sucked. But I went from a Hilary supported to Jill Stein. In 2020, I was firmly in Bernie's camp.With Warren a good runner up, till she went all Bernie is sexist. That wa...

Re: Is anyone here into Bitcoin?
That's some complicated stuff. I understood the leaving gold standard, but how the paper economy and inflation works is a more layered issue. I am unaware of the 7% ROI. I thought if you acquired enough stock in a company you will simply receive dividends from their profits based on the percentage o...

Wow. Good job on getting DCJY to do a hands on. He's a great guy. It's been 6 years Hombreimaginario. I am really impressed with Retrosumus commitment and perseverance. Back when this project was announced I was quite skeptical with the whole fish bowl presentation but my how the project has evolved...
