Oddly enough, my school's (Pace University) wireless network is called PWN (Pace Wireless Network). Makes it interesting when we rebroadcast the wired network in dorms without wireless as "PWNT".|darc| wrote:And I can't think of anything else to call that but "pwn."

Re: So I cheated on my girlfriend...
I'd never, EVER cheat on Laura. Of course, she's not my girlfriend (and never will be, dammit), but still.

If you have any other information you've grepped on it, I'd appreciate it. I have some free time this week and should be working on Devcast, so this is an interesting find, to say the least.

Re: How to get Linksys WUSB54G V4 working in Ubuntu?
If it is not working with the default packages, try NDISWrapper (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper). Hope that helps. Oh and before you buy hardware for Linux, try and make sure it is supported out of the box before you do. It really does save tons of effort. I hate havin...

Re: Website dev help
You can install Dreamweaver 8 in Linux under Wine, and it works great. Wine-Doors will auto-configure things for you, but unfortunately the site is down? Probably someone forgot to pay a bill. Kompozer also works ok as WYSIWYG, but removes a lot of formatting so be warned that you'll need to format ...

Re: Anyone interested in some cheap hosting?
Actually, my BSU service will soon be coming to an end, so I would need hosting. However, I only have about 10mb of stuff and it's really only for hosting pictures here and at BG, so your package would be ridiculous overkill. lol. Well, if you change your mind or something, hit me up and we can wor...

Getting a new job. Enjoying no college. Drinking. Having sex. Playing video games. Maybe a road trip. Does your penis sprout in the summer? Most people can have sex all year round. Even on christmas. Unless they're married, of course. Then they don't get to have sex at all. :) I'll be doing the sam...

Too bad you don't work in web development. I sit in an office where I can go up and chat with my immediate manager about her buying us pizza, a manager higher up about life problems, an boss even HIGHER up about what restaurant we are going to, a bunch of hot chicks walking in and out doing work (an...

What do you mean, plug and play? If you're motherboard supports the processor (slot and speed-wise) , you should be fine.Code-Red wrote:Thought I'd ask a question in here, instead of starting a new thread.
When I buy my new processor, is it plug and play? Will the BIOS make all the necessary adjustments?

Re: DC DEV LINUX DISTRO
If someone made a deb of the things needed, I could easily make an Ubuntu LiveCD for this purpose and host it myself. I don't know exactly what is useful (last time I fooled with it I just downloaded that pack in the forums) so I don't know what to compile where.
Any takers?

Re: What languages do you speak?
English and Spanish are native languages, although sometimes words escape me in both. I can also speak French fluently, although my pronunciation is screwed by Spanish and English learning's and so I guess that makes it less fluent. I do know some rudimentary German, enough to have a kinda screwy co...

Re: Laptop Issues
I have a guy here who works on Thinkpads now (thanks to me) and apparently it's a GPU issue where the GPU loses contact with the board because of a bad solder. You can fix this my using a paper shim (it's the same issue with some older G3s or something) or buy using a heat gun to resolder the joints...
