Re: My contribution to the KallistiOS project
First of all, thank you for your interest about my work. any chance you'd consider breaking it into smaller logical parts I understand your point of view and I'll do my best to make smaller pull request instead of a huge one. Also, the GitHub repos for KOS and other related things are only mi...

My contribution to the KallistiOS project
Hello there, Finally, I did a pull request on GitHub to the KallistiOS project, after 10 days of intensive work. Changes are: Improvement of the compatibility on environments for the dc-chain script. I was mainly focused on MinGW/MSYS but finally I did a lot of test on various environments, and I wr...

Re: Request: MinGW/MSYS fixes submission in the official KOS repository?
TL; DR I improved my changes on the KOS source I have, basically my modifications are on Makefiles. It would be great if any KOS maintainer give me write access to the official repo, or if you prefer I can fork the current revision, do my changes and somebody can check them before deciding somethin...

Re: Questions about Installing KOS
That said, the SF repo is the correct "primary" repository, but the official GitHub one is at least kept up to date every time I commit something. ;-) Oh, thanks for the explanation! I was thinking of the KOS GitHub repo under your name , and this one seems to be outdated. :) I didn't kno...

Re: Questions about Installing KOS
It's a known issue that it will do that if you try to run it twice. I think that you already fixed this bug in the KOS SourceForge repo . But if he's using the GitHub repo which is older, the bug will be there. In my freshly installed MinGW/MSYS toolchain, I've got this bug in the past but not this...

Re: Questions about Installing KOS
I think the GitHub repo is not up-to-date. I've recently built a complete toolchain under MinGW/MSYS and almost all things were working, at least in the dc-chain Makefile. Maybe you could try to use the SourceForge repo maybe?

Request: MinGW/MSYS fixes submission in the official KOS repository?
Hello there, Long time no see. I’m currently working on a project that I started around 2015 (yeah I know) which is making a fully working Dreamcast environment based on the original MinGW/MSYS env (the old one, doing so for compatibility, essentially for Windows XP support). And guess what? I final...

dc-chain: Purpose of ln -nsf instructions in Makefile
Hi there! I'm currently trying to update my toolchain and I have a small question about the Makefile of dc-chain. What's the purpose of these instructions? fixup-sh4-newlib: ... ln -nsf $(kos_base)/include/kos $(newlib_inc) ln -nsf $(kos_base)/kernel/arch/dreamcast/include/arch $(newlib_inc) ln -nsf...

Re: In The Line Of Fire Early Access Beta Released To Public
PH3NOM, thank you very much for your hard work on our beloved Dreamcast.
I was crushed when I saw the failure, I backed a lot and the result is really sad.
You'll always be welcome here!
Cheers,
Mike

Re: New Dreamcast Game
WOW. Very impressive.
Sounds really good!
By the way, I own a DC Dev Kit, so if you need to test or debug something specific, be my guest.

Well done!
Seems that your elf program is crashingDormoxx wrote: Though, I do get a flash of a blue screen with what looks like hex or decimal codes, then it flashes back to the dcload screen. Once I send it over the network again, it's fine.

Re: 3 questions about GDB
Thanks for all your answers BlueCrab. ;) I'll try to disable all the compiler optimizations in order to see if the weird execution thread path occurs. For the GDB 'bug', OK, I think i'll make a little workaround then. I just saw that when I kill the GDB executable at the end of the execution, it's O...

Re: About GCC 4.8.x branch...
Thanks BlueCrab. I saw there's a patch for GCC 4.8.2, that's why is used that version. Does that means the use of that patch isn't recommended at all for that version? If yes I guess I'm good to recompile my toolchain in 4.7.3 :) PS: Btw, what's the procedure to submit to the KOS repo? Since I made ...

3 questions about GDB
Hello, As I said in another thread , I successfully compiled a new KOS 2.0 toolchain based on GCC 4.8.2 under MinGW environment. My questions are about GDB. I'm using the latest GDB available which is the 7.9 at this time. I created a sample program gdb_sample.c where I'm calling the gdb_init() func...
