More than likely it's not working because of Macrovision... it prevents DVD's to be recorded to VCR's etc. It may be interferring.

Mr.INSANE That's called "pop-in" and is something that has happened in most 3D games in that era, and even still happens today from time to time.

It's done to keep the framerate decent.

Also, no emulator can fix that, as that is part of the actual games programming.
