Didn't buy this technically but picked it up today. It's by the Stanley Parable guy, it's got voiceover by Simon Amstell, it's only half an hour long, plays well on relatively shit computers, and it's FREE. GOGOGO.

Re: Cultural differences between indie gaming and emulation

I'm obviously a big fan of indie games and generally the thing that has attracted me to them over the years has been the unique experiences that absolutely would not have existed otherwise. No publisher could ever have justified funding games like Gone Home or Papers Please, that have no proven user...

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...

Pre-ordered the Special edition of Life is Strange which comes out early next year, heard nothing but good things but held out for a physical version. Picked up Tearaway for £15 on Amazon's Black Friday deal. Again, always wanted to play it, looks like my sort of thing. All of this is irrelevant as ...

Re: Games Games Games

Xenoblade Chronicles X (pre-ordered) The one game that would have convinced me to pick up a WiiU. Unfortunately it seems like the console has run its course so the prudent thing to do at this point will be to wait until next summer and pick one up cheapo with all the games I missed. Maybe even wait...

Re: Games Games Games

Recent Marios are inferior to Mario 64 for numerous reasons but among the biggest things for me are a lack of an interesting explorable hubworld and increasingly linear/formulaic levels. Galaxy is fine but guilty of both of those. it just seems like there's more gloss and fan service and none of the...

Re: Games Games Games

There's a lot I'm looking forward to but not much of it is actually coming out this side of Christmas. I have Metal Gear Solid V, Fallout 4 and Mario and Luigi Paper Jam all definitely lined up. If reviews are good I might grab Chibi Robo and Minecraft Story Mode and if I see a good deal for it, may...

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...

I was planning to not buy any new games, just clear my backlog and wait for Fallout 4, then I somehow bought Metal Gear Solid 5 and the physical version of Brothers for PS4.
I'm not even sure how it happened.

Kirby's Adventure looks pretty great still, but that's more down to good art direction as much as anything technical

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...

Gone Home - I'm late to the party on this one as I really wanted to play a console version of this, since they've been cancelled I picked this up in the recent Steam sale for a grand total of £1.79. Incredible, I love what the indie scene is doing to gaming. Preordered Fallout 4 Pipboy edition - My ...

Re: Ryo Hazuki as a Role Model discussion

However, these days the main Dreamcast I play games on has had its GD-ROM drive replaced with the SD card-based GDEMU which has 100% compatibility, lower load times, and none of that GD-ROM noise. ;) How much did this cost to get done? My Dreamcast has a broken disk drive and it was going to get bi...

Re: SHENMUE III CONFIRMED

The slightly weird thing about all of this for me is how nobody's mentioned Sega anywhere. Has Sony's part of the deal been to pay Sega off, or will Sega be taking a cut of profits? Just seems a weird forgotten detail that this is Sega's IP.
