That's stupid. But sometimes it works. I can't say I would of enjoyed Mortal Kombat without the fatalities, but that was moreso because they're so bizzare, often amusing, and I dislike fighting games in general.

"If your planning on Selling those commercials or emulators that is illegal. Even if you say there free for buying a Dreamcast (or other store item) its illegal. In fact I don't think you can even give them away for free period if your a business." We're not selling or giving any away. It'...

They said the same thing about the ROTT source. It always depressed me. I was very happy when it got released.

"ppfft, Quake 1 owns HL in the mod department." That's almost redundant as HL is running on an extremely modified Quake 1 engine (not Quake 2 as people commonly believe). And I disagree - though I give Quake 1 props for being the first game to really have lots of online multiplayer mods. H...

"If people bought that game cause of violence only they was very sad people. IT was a great game, but not because of the violence. In fact the violence in that game was almost immature with the cheat that made body parts fly from nowhere. " Huh? Where did that come from? The article I link...

I know (vaguely) someone who has a decently working beta. I hope it is you should know better being 'Insane DCEmu' means you've been around long enough to know the rules. H. along with Half-Life. It'd be a shame not to let more people see it.

"Also, I believe that the "slowness" is NOT actual slowdown, but it's motion blur." There is motion blur of course, as you turn to quickly for 30 FPS to keep up. There IS slowdown though, walk in the busy areas with town and you'll experience it. It's definetly not that bad thoug...

Side Story is mediocre to my mind. Federation VS Zeon is quite fun, the PS2 version is better as it has 2 player split screen though. In Japan, Federation VS Zeon had online multiplayer :(

Dreamcast commercials - place to get?

I'm making a disc for the video game store I work at, which has a rarely looked at DC display, and I wanted to put some DC commercials on there (along with some emulators, nxDoom, a few other things). Anyone know a place to get them?

I'd play it, but NOT as it is now. I'd of played it if it had been, say, beta 7 or earlier. I loved CS back then, it went way downhill from 7.1 on. They reduced accuracy and damage A LOT in 7.1, and then WAY increased slowdown from bullet hits. They deliberately ruined CS to appeal to inexperienced ...

"2. Metal Gear Solid 2: SOL (PS2)
3. Metal Gear Solid (PSX) "

Uh... Not FPSs..

1. Doom
2. Goldeneye
3. ROTT

I'm not counting mods, but if I did, HL would be number 1.

I would say don't really worry about split screen ROTT til one of the PC ports gets it. Then steal from them ;) Seriously though, ROTT is among the best multiplayer games PERIOD. As far as I know, it is the first FPS with CTF. Or in this case, CTT. And at 11 players, is the first online FPS I know o...

Split screen was talked about for nxDoom... ROTT is awesome. I would love a GBA release. The multiplayer in ROTT was a decade ahead of it's time, and it came out in like 1993 :P 11 player support with voice comm in 1993??! it is crazy!!!! The best part of the game was doing the "La De Da" ...

There was a guy in the UK who offered his for about 200 pounds.. I believe it sold. I know people who have seen it and played the copy, so it was for real. How fast is .98?

I haven't used DreamSNES since like .95 or .96. How much faster is it now? I would just burn a disc myself, but I lost all my SNES ROMs and will probably have to rebuild my library over time.. :p

I'd like to see a version of Battletoads Arcade. Don't know if that is possible but I would guess not :(. I have yet to find a ROM of it, unfortunately.

Quick NesterDC question on new versions

I hear that any controller can now access the menu... My #2 NES pad converted to use on the DC has L and R permenantly held down, since I cut them off since I didn't realize it would cause problems at the time (:-p). Will this cause problems with the newer release?

I wrote the tutorial at nes2dc.nklb.net ...I really need to update that. That was my second attempt, and my third came out much better. The Dreamcast controller part of it still works still, there's no external duct tape, and I drilled a hole out of the controller for a MUCH better black cord going ...

"IF you have problems with DreamSNESs speed, set the sound to mute in the options and Hey Presto!"

People say this all the time, and I still thing it's a terrible solution. I don't know how people can stand doing that... It stinks playing almost any video game without sound.

Um.. If you needed a modchip to boot DVD-R, why would you bother with the fishing line swap tricks? Modchips boot without swaps, the good ones anyway.
