How does ADD/SUB/arithmetic instructions treat arguments?

For example, let's say we want to add the contents of two registers on Sh4. We add R0 and R1 (by value). R0 contents is 0xFF. R1 contents is 0xAA. Does ADD/SUB instruction treat values in registers as signed or as unsigned values? For example, when adding those both registers, will R0 contents will ...

Re: running compiled programs?

I would highly recommend against using of emulators, especially such one as nullDC. It is bad written, untested, unreliable piece of software on which you really shouldn't rely when testing your programs.
Better run your programs on real hardware.
Or test on others emulators, like makaron or demul.

Re: How is it in America now?

Every level of schooling in America, from preschool to the end of college, is completely broken in our country. We invest so little in education that it's a miracle we are a global competitor at all. Lol. I always thought (and still think) that America is a leader in educational products. Many of m...

How is it in America now?

How is it in America now, folks? Despite all political and economical crisis's, can almost all of you still have (or least have the ability) to buy yourself a house, car, and whatever you need? Are salaries still big enough to pay for inhabitation, car, food and household? How is medicine? For examp...

Re: Drop function for photon drops

Kireek, thanks for kind words. I mean, Lee of course right, in some way. I really could just look into a source code (cause I know what a source code is and what is it for), and really don't bother other ppl with my questions. Lee of course deserve kudos and respect. But I decided to go that way, so...

Re: Drop function for photon drops

Basically you're too dumb to figure out the files yourself, and too stupid to look at the source code, yet you try to insult me, the one who basically did most of the foundation work, which the server side drops system in soda's server is based on, and quite a bit of bluecrabs implementation too. A...

Re: Drop function for photon drops

Remember, drops are handled on the server on Blue Burst, and the server probably won't respond kindly if you try to insert your own drops into the packet stream. That, and I think the Blue Burst client required for Schtserv has anti-cheating stuff included with it too. My idea got much further then...

Re: Drop function for photon drops

Interesting, what version of software SCHTHACK uses.
Maybe I can sneak into a executing code at runtime and look for a seed value. If it uses rand() function, of course.

Drop function for photon drops

What is the drop function for photon drops? Does it depend on some PRNG and factors? Then what are this factors? Probability table for each monster? Planet of char? Or it's not calculated each time you kill a monster? Does all possible item drops for all monsters and crates are calculated before you...

Re: VMU Sound?

Well, VMU have some registers which are responsible for sound playing logic. Typically in such small devices sound dynamic is controlled by Pulse Width Modulation controller. Here the link to a full doc: http://www.megadrive.org/~elbarto/VMU.pdf Search for a PWM (pulse width modulation) and you'll f...
