I really think video game companies should get a board of cynical teenagers and 8-year-olds to review their methods at every step of the way, from making hardware to designing games to actually playing the game for at least a month before it's released to ensure it's not crap.

To the complainers on page 1 that say people who don't like smoke should go away, those that don't like it are the majority, smokers are the PROBLEM.

The only downsides I can see as to MS "controlling" the console market are that they seem to skimp on parts a tad (the IDE cable for the Xbox HD is the bottleneck in ripping CDs, the DVD drive, the cooling fan...) and they'd have no competition for their online service and thus could raise...

Scandisk would only be needed if you turn it off or it overheats while reading/writing the HD...You may have a point with defrag, but not really since you can just wipe all those damn CDs.

There's also the PVR example...If you know the old APIs, pull up those headers and the corresponding headers from the new API. When I say headers, I mean the (.c ?) files with the actual code for the functions in them, if you dig around a bit you can find them.

Just pull up the header files on the API and port your old code over. I should note that I've experienced extreme messing-up when trying to port DCBlast over to 1.1.8, so be warned! (This is probably due to my programming ineptness) EDIT: Try comparing the PNG example from KOS 1.1.7 to the rewritten...

Are you trying to get something like this to work?

Code: Select all

unsigned int x;
cin >> x;
int integerArray[x];
You can't do that, the size of an array must be a constant.
