No the Saturn doesn't offer internal Component support. It was a standard for broadcast engineers only back then. I see no reason why this mod couldn't be done for the Saturn too though, but of course you would only get 480i video out. Also remember the point of this mod is to get 480p video over Co...

What an absolute dick. Some customers are just very stupid though. And stupid people and social diseases go together like cookies and milk. Back when I used to work for what's basically the UK equivalent of CC, they were selling DVD players at a knockdown price. Cheap crappy ones, but DVD players no...

I don't plan on making it internal no, my plan is to use a standard VGA box and modify it into a Y/Pb/Pr output one. This is the very first schematic I have ever stuck together. It's made from various parts. So don't laugh :D As you can see it is not my own work - I need to make that clear - all I d...

DC audio output buzz - how to fix?
This problem seems to exist on all Dreamcasts over all connection methods. It's this annoying buzzing on the audio output. Turn up your speakers on the main menu screens and it's easy to hear. Also whenever the drive is loading anything, you can hear the noises it makes over the audio output. It can...

A counterfeit would be easy to spot. How would a guy on his own fake the SEGA and Windows CE logos on the front of an LE console? And even little details like the stickers on the bottom and the box. It'd take a big bootleg outfit in China to mass-produce fake consoles and if they did that, then the ...

No, it's one of the LE systems. If it was a spray can job it wouldn't have the Sega/Windows logos or the black Dreamcast logo plate.

They were either slower paced or skipped 5-10 frames every 50 screen scans. Most were squashed. Of course most of the European versions of [good] games had 60hz software options so it wasn't an issue, but the problem is getting imports to play at that speed. Unless the game was specifically develope...

So who wants to help me make a COMPONENT box for the DC?
All right, this has been discussed before but never done. Time to put a stop to it. I am going to attempt it. I have never touched a soldering iron in my life so that is something I will need to learn. In the mean time I'm gonna get my dad to help (how embrassing  ) I have some questions to ask...

The games are made for 60hz NTSC systems. 50hz games are usually horrible (exceptions where 50hz games are better are rare, ChuChu Rocket! is one example). In most cases the video display actually appears squashed. Apparently the average European gamer just accepts this(?) Broadacast TV is a differe...
