Re: NXEngine for DC
The .cdi version of the latest update won't recognize button A for me, by the way, or I think not. it might have been the burn errors though, there were a few of those. I'll try the sdiso version once I get a chance. I'm only posting this in case it turns out to be a common error and not just a quir...

Re: Got some Dreamcast games today...
@DaMadFiddler: I have also noticed that the end of level bosses were harder much of the time as compared to the standalone ones. However, there was one end of level boss (can't remember which) that I was able to kind of find a sweet spot on screen a few times where I could hit it with the Nordwest a...

Oh, please don't worry about it. It didn't really cause me any serious problems, I just wasn't really expecting it.

Re: Got some Dreamcast games today...
Well, I've gotten through all of the stages of normal mode, but I don't think I've gotten through more than one stage without dying and needing to continue (maybe once or twice). On the other hand, in arcade mode I can make it to the 3rd stage (stage 4.1) before dying. But I'm gonna keep it up. even...

Re: Got some Dreamcast games today...
I also just recently beat the last boss of Sturmwind. Overall very well presented, but man is it ever hard for me. I'm new to shmups though. It seems like the biggest issue is that some of the bosses, I can't beat without dying once or twice, and occasionally I don't see the hazard that ends up kill...

Re: Need Help with Genesis Plus DC Emulator
Yeah, I just ended up typing out a ROMs list myself. It's a bit of a pain, but you just kinda have to do it. if it helps, here's an example list: Sonic2.bin Sonic the Hedghog 2 S3K.bin Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles vectorman2.bin Vectorman 2 P-STAR4.bin Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millenium B...

Re: Question about Genesis Plus DC save file
Thanks. I will try it once I have some time and report back. EDIT: my first attempt was unsuccessful. Everything looks good, but it still fails to bring up the continue option, However, I have one more thing that I'm gonna try, because the ROM on the Genesis+ iso might have a slightly different name...

Re: Question about Genesis Plus DC save file
Thanks!
Incedentally, I actually use Linux rather than Windows (though I have access to Windows), but I need to have at least a makefile to be able to compile something, because I never learned how to write a makefile.

Re: Skies of Arcadia Question
I also really liked SoA. just recently finished it. I started it like 3 years ago, then stopped for some reason around the dungeon in Ixa'Taka, then finished playing it this summer. It didn't take long for me to get super into it after I picked it up again. Hard to remember how I felt at first thoug...

Re: NXEngine for DC
Wow, I can't believe I hadn't heard of this game yet. Pretty fun stuff. I also noticed the weird save file thing. It definately filled up one vmu and overflowed into the (thankfully) less full second vmu. Still a very fun game! nice job! Also, I didn't get the sdiso to work, although I'm not sure if...

Re: Question about Genesis Plus DC save file
Wow, thanks for the reply! based on what you said, I'm pretty sure I know the exact problem that occured. I noticed when I was looking over my vmus after the incident that Cave Story, which I was trying out recently had made a shit ton of files that actually filled up the first VMU. not sure how, bu...

Not too recent, but I bought Sturmwind, and received it about a month ago (I made it to the 4th world, I think, by now) Also preordered DC version of Pier Solar, maybe a week or two ago)

Re: Nintendo announces the Nintendo 2DS! (nope, not April fo
I tend to agree with a lot of the posts in here that the 2DS would be a good idea, if only they hadn't taken away the clamshell. I tend to think the 3D screen is kind of a worthless gimmick (not that I would judge someone else for thinking otherwise). But the look of it without the clamshell is pret...

There's also a more recent blog post, although it's not much, just a subtitled clip of the intro and news of an interview that will be released in like a week or something

Question about Genesis Plus DC save file
Well this is my first post on this forum for years, and I kind of feel bad that it's a request for help... I had been playing Phantasy Star IV on Genesis Plus DC. I saved my progress and exited to the main menu (L+R+Start), as usual, before opening the game again, because I've been burned one to man...

wonderful. now I know that my writing does not describe things in enough detail for /b/ and/or middle schoolers. thank you for the proof reading. You are wrong on 7 counts. I could go into detail, and I will. 1) YOU FORGOT TO MENTION HAM SAMMICH 2) WONDERFUL IS A SENTENCE FRAGMENT AND YOU DIDN'T ME...
