Well, I've gotten through all of the stages of normal mode, but I don't think I've gotten through more than one stage without dying and needing to continue (maybe once or twice). Incedentally, I actually use Linux rather than Windows (though I have access to Windows), but I need to have at least a makefile to be able to compile something, because I never learned how to write a makefile.
