I can't get 30 fps playback in DC Divx even with a small frame size and low bitrate mp3. It just keeps freezing up. And the quality is blocky as hell. I think Gypplay is much better with MPEG-1. mp3pro is backward compataible with mp3, but it will decode at half the quality... so although it works, it's not really mp3pro.

Oh PS I would LOVE if Bero made a new release, Gypplay is good but it could be so much better... to play VCD/XVCD and normal MPEG-1 files. SVCD is not really an option because the DC CPU isn't fast enough.

Does it play loose MPG files burned on a CD?? That's what I'd really love... a nice quality MPG player. I think a lot of people don't understand that the SoftDec decoder is good, but it expects SFA audio which takes much less CPU than Layer II audio.
