Re: Replacing the Internal Battery with a AAA Holder

I am fine with the built in batteries. When I use my DC frequently they work. If I give it a couple of week interval, they obviously die out. At one point I would just turn my DC on for an hour every week, but it has been a few months since I moved to my new house and I haven't got around to hookin...

Re: Replacing the Internal Battery with a AAA Holder

So I threw some lithium rechargeables in and they still got kinda warm. I'm wondering if I should abandon all hope.

Replacing the Internal Battery with a AAA Holder

I just actually did a little hack n' slash where I replaced the internal DC battery with a AAA battery holder. You can check out photos here (please ignore the sloppy soldering). The issue (as maybe you can see from the photos) is that I used NiMH rechargeables where the original DC battery was mang...

Re: So whats new with you?

I've been working for a software company the past (almost) seven years that doesn't make games of any kind. It's kind of maddening. I'm some kind of manager now and need to share inspirational anecdotes with the people who report to me whenever possible. I also have been recording music and playing ...

Carbon Leaf. I've been a fan since early 2003 and stuck around from their independent days through their "adult contemporary" years on a label. I got to see them at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival again this past Saturday and meet them afterwards. It's cool to meet people who you've been lis...

Yeah, I'm currently using GoDaddy.

Out of curiosity, how do you handle migrating from one registrar to another without a lapse in service?

Re: Kickstarter- New Game by Former-S&F Artist Andrew Bado

After going through the Demo I would've loved to have it on Dreamcast, it seems like a fun project. It's a cool idea, but since everything has been done in GameMaker, I feel like it would basically take a rewrite to get it to that point. I know Andrew was a huge supporter (as we all are/were) of th...

Re: Wordpress Question

Wordpress.com offers an alternative, pay them 13$ a year and they will essentially move your blog to your domain name. Any downsides in that option? How many entries do you currently have? I would do the legwork and just manually move everything over to my own database or something. A reoccurring c...

Yeah, I have the AVG antivirus client installed, but I always declined to install "safe search" when an application prompts me. The worst trend over the past ten years with downloads are the tacked-on "sponsored" programs that you get asked to install alongside the one you actual...

Re: Kickstarter- New Game by Former-S&F Artist Andrew Bado

Unfortunately it seems like funding is drying up...these kinda things tend to drop off quite quickly after the first few days and he's not even halfway done yet. :( Yeah, I have checked his page the past few days and it's lingered in the high 20k range. Unfortunately, it might be the case that not ...
