Re: Bill and Ted 3.

Well, if B&T 3 is to B&T 2 what B&T 2 was to B&T, it'd be one of the best movies ever made.

Color me cautiously optimistic.

Re: Wikipedia Nuke Patrol Returns
That's ridiculous.
The thing that's ridiculous is that they allow quoting from published encyclopedias. As is though, wikipedia is still an excellent reference for school writing - just read the citations pages and use them instead of the main article.

Re: Games of 2011

Pfft. Pier Solar. I'll pay $15 for the rom, otherwise, pass. I also want to see some reviews. Hopefully it can stand-up against other 16bit RPGs rather than just sit on your shelf as a novelty indie item. You'll probably get your wish on that one - the creators have pretty heavily implied they'll b...

Re: Games of 2011

I don't know if Pier Solar counts as a 2011 title. My copy shipped like a week ago. It's just a matter of the ship time whether I'll get it in 2010 or 2011 (probably 2011 because it's Christmas time, slows everything down). For those interested, supposedly in the next few weeks more copies will beco...

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah... I can think of few games in the current generation I've been more satisfied with than Mass Effect. Great action, great choice/dialogue dynamics, great cut scene construction, great voice acting, really good storyline... Just great experiences all around. I couldn't really get into KOTOR beca...

Re: Goldeneye 007

Pffft. I think this marks what different generations we're from. I played Wipeout for the first time - my mind was blown. The 2D gaming world had been crapped on from a great height and I'd just promoted "gaming" to hobby status rather than just being another one of my toys. Yeah those ga...

Re: Goldeneye 007

This is the first time I've played the original in at least six or seven. I must be the only one that still plays it singleplayer every so often. It hasn't aged perfectly (I hated the outdoor snow levels when the game was new, and they're still really annoying) but it's still a lot of fun. It's als...

Re: Goldeneye 007

What I'm trying to say is that if someone doesn't like a certain gaming genre, it's the person's problem, not the genre's.
Technically this is true. But, equally true, if you don't find a piece of dog shit delicious, it's YOUR problem, not the piece of shit's.

Re: Goldeneye 007

So you like light-gun games. Light gun games are awesome. Also, I have played this more. Tweaked the controls more. Still quite fun. I liked how there was a club scene and some of the dancers were apparently pulled from Feel the Magic. No, really. I did try online play as well. It was fun, from wha...

Re: Goldeneye 007

If you have other consoles you've probably played something better. Well, unless you're like me, and really don't care for dual shock first person shooter controls. I can handle it now and play through games, but it hampers my enjoyment of them significantly. Whereas the wiimote FPS controls, when ...

Re: New Vegas

I haven't played it a great deal just yet, but thus far I'm finding the quests a lot less involving and motivating to complete than I did in Fallout 3. I think a lot of this is because thus far practically everyone I talk to has very little to say before suddenly springing a quest on me. There's no ...

Re: Happy 25th birthday, NES

This could help: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MEBIDX:IT Lots definitely are the way to go with NES games (especially for me, as I'm getting close to owning all the "must haves"), but I'm too poor to buy that large of one at the moment. Sadly, as that has a lot of good stuf...

Re: Happy 25th birthday, NES

Yeah, lots of good memories with the NES. We got ours fairly late.. I think we got ours at the very beginning of 1990, but I'd been playing them elsewhere for years. I remember going over to the next door neighbor's house, and he got one in like 1986 or 87 (I was born in '83). I can remember when my...

Re: Famiclones and the like

If you can pay for it, I suggest an AV Famicom with a converter cart. That's what I use. Uses the same AV out plus as the SNES/N64/Cube. Great picture quality/sound, uses NES controller ports, and perfect compatibility since it's made by Nintendo. Only downside is, being a Famicom, doesn't work with...

Re: Minecraft

Like all games like this, I'd find it neat for probably a few hours than get bored from a lack of real goals. Most total sandbox games have a funny effect on me - they make me want to do stuff in real life and stop playing the game. Multiplayer and maybe some tough survival missions with it would he...

Re: The E3 discussion

I will say it is plausible that the 3DS will be priced at $250 in the US. $300 is too much for me too. $200 is probably the max I'd pay to buy it day one, but if there was a pack-in game (unlikely, but hey) I might go to $250.

Re: PSP2 is real, MK devs still retarded

Unfortunately every time some idiot runs around screaming about how the iPhone is the future of handheld gaming, they're putting weight behind the shift away from physical media. The big difference is that I never paid more than $5 for an iPhone game, whereas PSP games almost never go lower than $2...

Re: Post your iPods

I've never owned an iPod. Point in fact, I don't think I've ever owned any Apple product, at least not that I can recall. Not much against them, it's just for the longest time iPods were too expensive compared to competitors, especially considering what I wanted out of them. I don't have a huge MP3 ...

Re: PSP2 is real, MK devs still retarded

Yeah, I do need that. The reason is those carts are so damn tiny that they are really really easy to loose. I've owned a few DS carts, but I don't think I actually could find any of them any more. Aside from that it really just comes down to connivence - sure, they are not that big, but if I can ca...
