Some news

Just some news... I've rewritten 90% of my work, and now it's 95% done. The menu engine is now very clean and easy to mod. Lots of cool options, including CD music and player's color changing. All cheats except Flymode, Toggle Key 1 and Toggle Key 2 still active in the next level. Recorded demos wil...

I've tested SlowMo right now, and model transparency really not works. The bullet rings are all black all the time. Surely another bug due to the quick porting done by Titanium guys... well, a buggy QuakeDC is better than none.

The problem is that is much more complicated to get the modem working on the Dreamcast. You need to have a driver to initialize the modem, and as Titanium said they don't did anything on support for online playing, the modem code in QuakeDC should be the PC modem code, without any modem driver.

I was reading the Qccx manual, and it looks like there's a hex32 function in the internals.qc that can be used to concatenate strings, but I didn't understood it enough. Theres no function named "hex32" in the internals.qc, it should be other name... It could helps a lot, since the menu us...

I'm surprised that TDA didn't replied to this topic. If it worked for you on your Dreamcast, you have another version of the QuakeDC engine (that no one else have). Maybe you would like to compare with the QuakeDC that is available here in DCemulation, that is the only version I know. gl_flashblend ...

I have tried to direct load programs with the browser like Gooey said  ... and it DONT work. The browser tries to load .EXE files as MP3 audio, and it loads .BIN files as plain text, sometimes crashing the browser.

If you burn it in non-selfboot, you can leave the .pak files to be included in the second session

QuakeDC is a CLOSED project, unfortunately. No changes will be done to this port. Maybe, in the future, someone can port it again.

It's a pity we have lost all the posts about the QuakeDC history... because it will be asked over and over again... :?

If you didn't see the Titanium logo, it should be a burning problem.
And another sugestion... make a non-selfboot disc to test and load it with the Utopia boot, to be sure that it's not a problem with selfboot burning.

I've searched on the net for hours and found nothing... couldn't found on M$ site too...

I need the VB6 version of COMDLG32.OCX, does anyone know if it can be distributed? It's because I got a freeware program that needs it, but the program doesn't come with it...

Some of the old theorys have been proven incorrect already. I hope you've just proven another. To think people used to say maps with custom textures didn't work with QuakeDC and that they always showed up white or black. ??? I didn't understood. I'm talking about .pak files, not maps with custom te...

In case you don't read my tech info... gl_flashblend doesn't exist in QuakeDC. Titanium converted it to d3d_flashblend, and changing its setting just remove the yellow balls, but doesn't enable dinamic lights.

I've tried the r_dinamic command too... and it also not works.

Throw away ur pak problems! -Giving work to mod distributors

The easiest way to put mods on Quake DC - by Fragger :D You don't need to edit your original .pak files! If a file exists in more than one .pak file, Quake loads it from the higher numbered .pak file. File search order: Last /\ || PAK0.PAK - shareware version - First episode || PAK1.PAK - registered...

JoyMenu

I've done a demo of my add-on mod called JoyMenu. I want to release it in December, if I finish the JoyConsole at time (the JoyConsole is inside the JoyMenu). I know, that "slow motion" just slows the speed at the moment, but I will make it full working on the release (and it will not affe...
