Re: Step By Step Guide to Make an Adventure Game with Winter
Very informative post. I'd heard of Wintermute before, but didn't realize that it had compatibility with ScummVM at all. Also a belated welcome back. Thanks. It's nice to see that you're still around. :) And sorry for the long reply. I got caught up in real life, and it was harder to adapt the temp...

Step By Step Guide to Make an Adventure Game with Wintermute
Caleb posted on the Dreamcast Scene forums inquiring about how to make adventure games on Dreamcast . The post referred to the DCEvolution SCUMM Fan Game Collection . The games in this release however, used ScummC and ScummGen. It is possible to make a game for Dreamcast with these tools, but it re...

DCEvolution SCUMM Fan Game Collection
December is here, which means that we're knee deep in the holiday season. What better way to celebrate the holidays than firing up your Dreamcast with a new release from DC Evolution ? The SCUMM engine is one of the most famous engines used to create adventure games. It was used by LucasArts for all...

Awesome news Phantom. I look forward both releases with great anticipation.Phantom wrote:Thanks for the replies! I'll try and put up a Dreamcast binary of the next release (that will still be an unstable version). I expect the first stable "glutton" sometime later this year.

I'm looking forward to this game. I love the Strong Bad e-mails.Hasney wrote:And the other announced game for WiiWare, Strong Bads Cool Game For Attractive People! Uses the same engine as Sam and Max!
I'll be purchasing it for the PC though, since I don't own a Wii.

Re: Wolf4SDL\DC public -BETA-
I have disc swapping implemented and I'd like to support as many retail CDs as possible. That's really cool. I love it when programs have support for playing the original CDs. There's just something inherently awesome about putting in DOS and Windows discs and having them play in the Dreamcast. :mr...

Sorry to see you go BlueCrab. I'm glad that I got to meet you at the first DreamCon. You are a really cool guy, both online and in person. This scene will definitely not be the same without you. Good luck in your future endeavors.BlueCrab wrote:I guess this is goodbye for good

he's not that talented and an asshole. If he didnt want the credit he's gotten and was humble i'd have a lot more sympathy. I agree with you. When I read my past posts, I'm ashamed at how bitter, cynical, and truthfully: egotistical I was. When my father passed away in 2000, I latched onto the Drea...

Re: SEGA of Japan to update www.Dreamcast.com for 2008 !
I really hope this is actually Sega, though it looks like it might not be: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/sh ... p?p=265736
I hope that it is Sega doing this, as I'm charmed by the romanticism of Sega continuing the legacy of their last system into it's 10th year.

That's very cool.
I registered my Dreamcast on the site. They have to approve every account that is registered there, so all I can do now is sit and wait patiently to see what they have in store for us.
