Marathon was good, but the series' main virtue was its writing, which surpassed most RPGs. Also, the level editor was incredibly easy to use.

Re: Best software for removing malicious programs these days?
In before "screw the corporate machine!" rant disguised as Linux recommendation. Don't worry, my Linux recommendation will be straight to the point, not disguised at all! I mean, seriously: I was tired of cleaning malware from dad's PC, so I convinced him to move to Mint . Everything just...

Re: Bungie trademarks Marathon
Hey, it's not like Bungie is some one trick pony. They did: - Gnop! (Pong clone) - Operation Desert Storm (strategy) - Minotaur: The Labyrinths of Crete (RPG) - Pathways into Darkness (first person shooter/RPG) - Marathon 1, 2, ∞ (first person shooters) - Myth 1, 2 (strategy) - Oni (third person f...

What were their other shitty consoles? I can only think of the FDS and the 64DD, which were Japan-only peripherals. Will Nintendo break their cycle of shitty consoles?

Why not? Better educate her to the fact that computers are not - should not be - a monoculture! When you understand that fact, you will find that Linux it is not really much harder to use. In fact, take in account the abundance of malware out there, and Windows is anything but user-friendly.

Re: Burning Dreamcast .CDI files with a Mac..
I wish people here would give the LiquidCD developer a hand, because he's been trying to get it to burn DC cdi files. I've really tried my best to burn a valid DC .cdi, but haven't succeeded yet. I made a byte per byte comparison and LiquidCD is burning exactly the same contents as the Windows softw...
